Awesome.
I saw the F22 do a short demo at Edwards AFB; my mouth never closed.

Cool Pics. I’m surprised the “chemtrail” idiots haven’t shown up yet.

dang, Dang, DANG!
My family ALWAYS trys to get to the local air shows. Really wanted to go to this one but it was cloudy and damp this morning so we passed and ...painted the farking living room instead.
Of course the weather dleared up and it was a beautiful day for hte show but by then we were too deep into painting to go...sigh.
Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be bad but it won't make any difference because the youngest son has church all afternoon - he runs the audio/video equipment - and after that he has a dinner for one of the church members. Wife and I will probably still be painting or doing something with our first grandchild...or our second which is due in about a month if you get my drift. For those in Rio Linda... we might be at my daughter's house helping her get through the last few weeks of her first pregnancy. (Our first grandchild was our oldest son's first child)
Then again I might just finish things up at home, send Wife with Daughter, then go to The Local Watering Hole and catch the NASCAR race with some of my friends. Or maybe the Pens playoff game.

Sorry you missed it. Best time I've had at an airshow in a LONG time. Raptor demo was, um, amazing. The way that thing can juke, even if a missile could lock on, they could scoot out of its way at the last second. Had a lot of fun talking with crews at the static displays. Even the traffic wasn't a problem.
Only minus was the food prices, but I guess that was to be expected.

I WANT one!
I'd love to go, but prior commitments kept me from attending this year. Were there any old warbirds there? I had the privilege several years ago to ride right seat for a spell in one of the few restored B-17's around. My dad flew one during the war. Noisy as H-E-double hockey sticks and they vibrated like crazy, plus for such a large aircraft the interior is almost clautrophobic.
It gave me a whole new respect for those guys who flew these unheated and unpressurized things in subzero temperatures for hours and hours over enemy territory getting shot at.

I wish I could tell you. I’m on the west coast. I’ll be back in Da Burgh in a few months for a quick two day site-seeing visit though. Hopefully I’ll be there for opening day at Heinz Field to see the Stillers play the Ole Earlers (Texans).

Yup, a B-17 and B-25. The Navy had a Corsair do a "Heritage Flight" with a Super Hornet (I hate those. I'd much rather watch them fly individually). However, the Corsair was out at the flight line, so you couldn't get near it. A couple of DC-3s and a C-54 (don't know if you want to count those, though). Other than the Corsair, no fighters.
