Would a guy who can “DIY” be somehow more attractive to a lady?

Hmmmm, well let's test this theory...

We here in America have a show called "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", in which a team of builders and designers rebuild and redesign homes for families in need, often from the ground up.

The head honcho is a guy named Ty Pennington, who looks something like this:

Now, from what I can tell, Ty is a fairly knowledgable carpenter, but some women (some of them who I know personally) like to see him without his shirt on--which you can google search on your own time.

At any rate, I think in the U.S. we have at least 3 or 4 entire television channels solely devoted to DIY and home improvement. I can only think it would help in my case, but I draw the line at a certain point. If it has anything to do with major repairs (plumbing, electrical work, etc.), I'm going to let a professional do the work...it's a simple allocation of resources if you think about it.

We have similar programs in the UK as well as importing the US ones.

One of our cable channels has been showing the week or so wall to wall extreme makeover from the States. There is also a UK version as well.

My friend Phil often does everything DIY wise and actually likes to do his own plumbing and most of the electrical work, though with new regs it is becoming more difficult to do some of these things yourself especially if you may want to sell your property in the new future because you need certain certificates to say that they were done by a professional not that the professional always does it better but it is just a legal technicality. I know in many ways I much prefer Phil to do something than a so called expert who often cuts corners and uses cheaper materials.
