Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
err... ‘where’ we had the best meal...
Youtube is awesome for little knitting videos. That’s how I learned.

What a fascinating modern age we live in! I'll just have to check that out!
*snort*
It's like Buttah!
Yes, and in this fascinating modern age, I have learned that there are several ‘styles’ of knitting - all pertaining to which hand you carry the yarn. In English knitting, you carry the yarn in the right hand and ‘throw’ it over the needle. This is how my Grandmother knitted and has been my life long understanding of what it’s supposed to be. But that ‘throwing’ action isn’t lady-like enough for some so a competing technique was developed: Continental style, where the yarn is held in the left hand and hooked by the right needle. All the motions are smaller, the hands move less, and you can go much faster. Continental knitters (in my growing experience) are very snooty about their style and their commentary on English knitters ranges from “you’re doing it wrong” to the ever-disdainful, “Oh.” And then there are some knitting styles inbetween. Yaay Youtube!
How about a crochet costume:
And now I’m close enough to reach out for that triple precious.
It’s a complete bummer to not be able to freep from work.
I’ve missed y’all!
And I’ve missed the pursuit...
of precious!
