The Hobbit Hole XXXVI - O! Water cold we may pour at need...

Posted on 05/03/2008 8:48:06 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Yeah, the folkies are definitely more to the left than the bluegrass folks.

Lucky they tend to be pretty good-natured little things.

The pugs I've seen were bustling little bundles of energy that seemed to bring smiles wherever they went. Certainly a nicer breed of dog than those spastic little ankle biters.

oladin Ok, today, for one day only, I'm going to wear Osama Bin Organizer on my other forum to see if anyone notices. I already saw a Stalin Organizer, so I'm not really original about it anymore.

LOL!! Got me laughing this morning, LSA!

Test went ok...took only a few minutes. They started an IV and gave me a contrast...this will be the first CT scan done with contrast (both MRIs were).

I gotta remember...if I have to do this again...to dress warm! I nearly froze to death until they gave me the contrast! Once they shot the contrast in, I felt nice and warm, like I had hot water running through my veins, so that was good.

After the test, I just got up, walked out and drove home. The most stressful part was the rush-hour traffic. By the time I got home I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast and was wore out!

Steve made hors d'oeuvres and we all sat down and watched the final episode of Star Trek, The Next Generation.

Ok...I'll let you know when I find out anything about the test.

Fair enough...

Good morning! We picked up our new entertainment center. One problem is the little door to the left has roll out drawers with slots that are not for DVDs, they’re for VHS tapes! :~/

So we’ll have to figure something else out. Otherwise it’s in good shape! Now to find a leather couch that isn’t orange, and our new saddle rack from the feed store.

How about a leather cough instead?

That just sounds...nasty.

~chuckling~

That one looks comfy! A little further away than I was hoping.

And there’s so many that are sets, I’ve been thinking seriously that I’d love to get rid of this chair we have too and switch that to leather as well.

I'm almost sure this is our rollaway bed. I sold it to him for $20.

FOLD UP BED...twin roll away! (Amazing!) LOOK!

No - we advertised it and sold it on craigslist. The guy who bought it said it was for his grandma who was going to be staying with them for awhile. Maybe she decided not to, maybe it was too low for her to get in and out of. Maybe he made up the story about the grandma so he could turn a profit on this awesome amazing folding bed! I dunno!
