Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Good heavens... Somebody actually makes a gold-plated ASP? What an interesting concept. Well, I suppose it might appeal to the Gucci-Toughguy set... But frankly I think the flat-black is best. :-)
It may be that I gave out Brigade-QM as the address for those, and I’ve wondered about that, as it would be wrong. It’s not the best place. The best prices and service are at www.knifecenter.com. They have a “center” for knives, for swords, for shaving, and for “security” as well as other stuff.
In the “security center” there’s a section for batons, and they have the various options, depending on stock at the time. They’re very good about indicating what’s in stock or not at the time.
I can’t speak highly enough about the customer service at knifecenter.com. I’ve been so impressed with them on a few of my (many) orders that I’ve told them I would pass it along to my friends... And so here I do that. They will make things right if for some reason it doesn’t work out right. But usually, of course, it does work.
Remember with the ASP batons, that you want the “airweight” or “aluminum” version. They’re referred to as either in different sites. The 16in is very small (about 5in closed). Easy to carry even in a jeans back pocket. The 21in is more effective as a weapon but is about 7in closed, and needs a jacket pocket to conceal. The 26in is a magnificent weapon, but is about 10in and is tough to conceal anywhere. May as well just carry a baseball bat.
My favorite is the 21in. But I do have a soft spot for the little 16in. It conceals so nicely and would be the rudest of suprises for the unsuspecting little turd that didn’t know you had it. :-)
If there’s interest I would love to give a quick class in how use an ASP effectively. I don’t claim to be an expert, but I do know a few tips that seem to work, most of the time.
Regards,
I guess they are for those who want to beat the carp out of someone, but with style. ;o)
<smile>Is that the problem, g'nad? Are they too adventurous for you?
Has thegirl considered yarn?
Always do everything with style. Including beating the stuffing out of folks.
I’m so glad you had such a nice trip!! It sounds like quite an adventure...a real “There and Back Again”!
Not a problem, because they would be fenced in...it’s more of a cost/pain in the rear setting it up vs. bennifits of milk. Course he is picking up his SIG today, so maybe...oh, nevermind. :-)

Wow, sounds like you had a really great time. I’d love to take thegirl to something like that someday. Glad you’re back safe...and with a new guitar.
Mrsnad
I’m sorry about your cat. They are a part of the family, but she sounds like she’s not doing well at all. If it makes you feel any better, we spent over a grand on our Kybo about 11 years ago. He never fully recovered though and we had to put him down around a year later. His lungs were full of fluid which we drained, but it filled back up again right away. He had cancer all over. He was such a good dog, and it was so hard...many tears on both our parts, but it had to happen.
Hang in there,
Mrsnad
Thanks. I just keep running into a brick wall with the vet trying to make this happen. Mrs. and I have both called the office this week and talked with Miz-Vet-who-never-met-Abby who keeps offering us suggestions to modify her behavior.
I want to talk to either the vets who have seen her and did her surgery. I keep trying to call and schedule the time to have her put down, but this vet keeps offering behavior modification suggestions.
We’re all resigned to do this, but they’re not helping.
Can you just call and make an appointment with the specific vet and say it’s to euthanize... don’t ask, just tell them.
We sortof ran into that at the emergency clinic when we brought Cartman in, who was obviously failing... she scooped him up and said she was going to go put him on oxygen... I said... no... that’s not why we’re here.
I don’t know how their hours work. But I’m going to call back and force the appointment and insist on talking to either the vet that saw her last or the surgeon.
I’m pretty sure this is the same woman who couldn’t diagnose our other cat. The one who had a convulsion, jumped out of my arms and was dead before he hit the floor.
Good luck. They ought to be able to at least get you the appointment.
mwuhahaha..... I have SIG...
Aw... kewl... its'a thingabeauty.
For some reason when you referred to a Sig I just assumed you were talking about a pistol. But man... the 556. Nice. Gots pichers? :-)
Most excellent. [drool]
Two words: Suu Weeet. Congrats my friend. Now, how long before the Sig gets the Win-Mag treatment? :-)
