We're having salmon for dinner tonight.

The irony is, it's Atlantic salmon. ;~)

Interesting, didn’t know that cost differential. Thanks for the brass link, those seem like pretty good prices to me. OB

It’s probably never even been in the ocean.

But it’s tasty. :~)

...and they cost 4 times what a set of RCBS cost... $123 a set... you still gotta use case lube...

Yah? Maybe that depends on caliber? I dunno, and I've been out of it for some years. But I was reloading weekly I had carbide dies, and then I was doing lots (thousands) of .357 and some .270 and .45 and I never bothered with case lube. Not once. Maybe there's other calibers where it is more critical?

I'm perfectly willing to be wrong. It happens to me more and more often nowadays.

we’ve got this great big tv, and now we need a new dvd player.

Heck, we're still using a DVD player from, I dunno, several years ago. We haven't done any research into the latest and greatest models, yet.

Mine was 8 years old and it was just starting to balk at every disk with even slight wear and tear. Rental disks were getting to be a real pain. The newer ones error correct better and don’t do that. My other newer dvd player died entirely and so we took that as a sign to upgrade. Only took us a year of having a 1080P 52” LCD to get a player that would really make it shine.
:P

There are few things in the world that would make less sense than shipping Atlantic Salmon to Seattle, for sale.

But in fairness, the farm-raised salmon (as opposed to wild caught) that they sell in Seattle is a variety of Atlantic Salmon that they do in pens. That’s cheating.

But still, it just isn’t as good as a fine saltwater-caught King salmon, grilled fresh on the day it was caught. Dang... Its too bad Corin couldn’t taste that.

:-)

Yeah, we're still operating with an old picture tube TV, so we didn't see the need to upgrade our DVD player until we upgrade our TV (probably later in the year, with luck.)

I get Silver Coho Salmon at Trader Joe’s and it is scrumptious. I made some Mango Relish to go with it. Mmmm. In fact I have some in the freezer! I’ll have to get that out in the morning for supper!

straight neck cases you can pro’ly get away with... in my experience, you eventually run into pro’lems with bottlenecks...I’m only one guy, but I’ve loaded a helluva lot of pistol and rifle ammo over the years... and seen alot of other fellas (and my own) screw-ups...

I have one of these cards in my computer. I would connect the TV cable to the card, record the TV show to a MPEG file, edit it using the free software that came with the card, and then burn it using the DVD burner in my PC.

Unfortunately, the card tuner can only handle "basic" cable, and since we upgraded to digital cable, we either have to split the cable coming out the box (in which case the computer can only record what we're watching on the TV) or we need a separate cable box for the card (which costs extra money). But, it does work well for recording from a video tape to a digitized file, or for recording basic TV.
