Tryston will be a year old in a few weeks. The first time I met and babysat him I just read what I had available—a few things from “the Dangerous Book for Boys” and I’d read The Limbaugh Letter out loud to him.
I also have The Complete Works of Shakespeare where I would read and kind of act out some Macbeth and King Lear. He’d smile and giggle as well as look at me like “what the hell is my uncle doing?” But at any rate, I do appreciate the sugggestions. :)
He’s a big boy for not yet a year old. Just keep doing what you are doing....at his age you can read anything to him as it is the closeness and interaction that he will benefit from. It sounds like you make it very fun and lively. With an uncle like you, he very well might become quite a scholar.
I wish you'd recorded that for YouTube. We'd have had great fun watching.
AT this point, it’s the rhythym of your voice that he hears, it’s good for him. Visit your Book and Bible store and get some little things and he’ll be fine.
