Good morning!
2 primaries tomorrow.
Rev. Wright gave an astonishing, jaw-dropping speech before the NAACP last night. Will it be covered by the MSM? Is this the kind of speech we need to get beyond the race issue - Obama's first position during this campaign season, OR to confront honestly this country's racial history - Obama's second , post-Wright position, during this campaign season?
I understand the Rev. will be talking at the National Press Club this morning....covered probably by CSPAN.
I think you've 'nailed' my personality, Dogster!
I would take you both to war..
I got to run...back later.
Prayers Lifted.
May she rest in Peace.
He also had press credentials, and got into the press gaggle.
A report from someone who was at the townhall meeting said the other reporters were really ticked off that he used them to get the question in.
The thread made me mad. But I get frosted when posters declare they are NOT voting for McCain.
So, as one of the posters said - it’s McCain or Hillory or Obama - SO - who are you voting for?
I’m sorry, but it’s a DUH question to me.
If you’re worried about Kassie, I am too.
Where is she?
Me, too.
hmmm, wonder if Al Gore is behind that ad? Seems like a scam to me.
In the pagan world of worshiping creation rather than creator, we now have pagan indulgences, aka “carbon credits” with Al Gore as THE HIGH PRIEST OF CARBON CREDITS!
We can be forgiven of all our carbon footprints - Hallelujah!
Good morning.
Wacky week here. Mom started getting very confused Sunday AM. Not knowing where she was, or who I was. I couldn’t take her to the dr. until later on Monday, as I went Monday AM for HIDA-scan. (gall bladder test)
Monday afternoon I took mom into the dr. Mom was admitted to the hospital that afternoon. Tues. I went to the gastroenterologist and found out all my tests were good but my gall bladder test, and I need to have it removed.
After leaving there, I went to the dentist to find I have at least one abscessed tooth, possibly two. I go to a different dentist on Wed.
Back to the hospital to be with mom and her tests. Wed. she had all kinds of tests ran and they found out she has gastritis. They told me they’d keep her one more day to make sure her stomach straightened out.
Thinking she was staying the night and would sleep most of it since she had JUST had her colonoscopy test, I went with Son to his orientation far, far north of here (summer job) took one hour to drive there. In the mean time hospital called to say they had ALREADY released her. Before I got there she had to be completely changed (I had taken extra clothes for her) So by the time we got home she was needing to be changed all over again. I was so upset with everyone.
I don’t believe her doctor even saw her, as I was at the hospital from 6:00 AM until around 3:00 PM. She had never came in. I believe the nurses told the dr. mom was fine! I think they got tired of taking care of her and sent her home. She was no problem, except she had to be changed every hour, she had the medicine for a colonoscopy and it had to run it’s course.
Anyway I woke up yesterday to find her on her floor sleeping. she had fallen. LONG story... after I got her up and showered, I had to go to the surgeon to set up my appointment.
He told me my surgery was not mandatory and I told him my gastro. dr. had told me to have it and it would make my life so much more enjoyable. He said it would but it wasn’t a necessary surgery, and if I elected not to have it, I’d have to have it monitored all the time. My gall bladder doesn’t work AT ALL. So I told him I wanted the surgery. I didn’t like the idea of having things hanging over my head...so once again he mentioned the word “elective surgery”.
After I came home I got to thinking if he’s calling it ‘elective’ my insurance which is so bad, it’s almost totally worthless, might not pay for it. So I now have a call into my dr. office to see if the insurance will cover it.
So that is why I have been missing this week. Thanks for letting me ramble. :)
Sure hope all y’all are doing fine!!
Fits work. Mornin’ Toby - you’re a good G’pa.
I”ll eat anything friend, but SNICKERS? That isn’t right...
My gosh, girl,,, your plate is full,, and running over.
((((kassie))))
Condolences to you and your family DG. I’ve been there and done that with my only Sister. Life is changed forever.
AND if my week wasn’t already bad, my coffee maker broke on Tuesday and I didn’t have time to buy a new one until yesterday. Ugggh. Thank goodness son drinks Mountain Dew, other wise I’d be going through caffeine withdrawal.
Bless your heart - You have had a really BAD week. And yes, it sounds like your surgeon was saying what you think he was. Just wow.
Your story of your mom reminded me of the short time in the hospital when my mother passed. It was a short time, and very disappointing. The lack of professionalism of the entire floor she was on astounded me. An elderly woman, had a heart attack, had dementia, would wander the halls wanting to go home (after pulling out her IV’s), with her butt hanging out of the gown, and they call me to come do something.
This is in the middle of the night. I go and Mom has of course forgotten she had a heart attack.
I don’t know, I left thinking she was in good hands, but they all sat glued to their computers watching WHAT? while a half naked woman with dementia carries her purse up and down the halls looking for a way to go home? Something was very wrong with that picture.
Ill eat anything friend
::::
I did it again -
I’ll eat anything FRIED not friend.
sheesh
I have always taken a PASS on the deep fat fried Snickers and deep fat fried Twinkies
