The world's biggest cruise liner is to have a New York-style "Central Park" on the ship, its owners have revealed.
Royal Caribbean is building the 220,000-tonne liner with the working name Project Genesis and the announcement is the latest salvo in the intensely competitive global cruise market.
The company said the park would be "a revolutionary design in which the centre of the ship opens to the sky and features lush, tropical grounds spanning the length of a football field".

I worked on a seismic ship for 5 years. There’s nothing to see expect water. Can’t exactly say I’d pay to just look at water from a floating shopping mall.

App. 8,400 total passengers, officers, and crew. Displaces over 100,000 tons. Huge. Displaces as much as a fully loaded US Navy super aircraft carrier.

Ill be impressed when it can submerge. Submerging is easy. Surfacing again is the tricky part which few ships can do.

We're looking at an inside passage cruise in either May or June. Our 30th anniversary celebration. Those are quite a bit smaller ships.
Back in the late 80s and early 90s we took three cruises. Two out of Miami into the Caribbean, and one out of LA to Encinada. We enjoyed the Caribbean ones the most.
If you have not been on one before, you are in for a treat. man they will feed you like a king and you will eat so much until you can't eat anymore. A lot of fun and they were very relaxing for us.

The world's biggest cruise liner is to have a New York-style "Central Park" on the ship Since it is New York-style, will it also have the rapes and the muggings?

Submerging is not the hard part.
The hard part is to get it to resurface.
To: NormsRevenge
A “Central Park” on the ship will provide sea sick passengers a comfortable place to go throw up in a nice grassy area!

I sure hope so...and that’s a lot of life jackets. Hope there’s enough life boats for everyone to get on too.

"complete with crime and graffiti?" LOL...that was my first thought. That's going to be one busy crew if they have to double as muggers after hours.
