Boy, do I hear you on that score. I am very, very seldom left speechless, but that little tactic generally leaves me opening and closing my mouth, trying to figure out how the heck to respond.
I keep coaching myself to the have the presence of mind to just laugh merrily and make some smart remark, but it really unsettles me, each and every time.
My mother-in-law does this. It drives me crazy.

Isn’t that wonderful to watch, from a distance? Libs, they can talk the talk, but not walk the walk. I haven’t heard one come up with any iota of fixing any of our challenges in this country. All they want to do is throw money at it. If they have not idea, of even throwing money at it, they begin making fun of the administration. A liberal aquaintenance brought up the amount of money we’re spending in this war, Iraq, no mention of Afphaganistan and really got riled when I mentioned welfare and illegal welfare have more than doubled what we’ve spent keeping Americans safe from the Muslims. WHAT MUSLIMS,HAVE YOU SEEN ANY MAKING TROUBLE?? I said NO, but if we hadn’t taken on the Taliban and alQueda we would be up to our armpits with stikes right here in the US, just like we experienced on 9/11 and the World Trade Center bombing during klintons tenure in the
whitehouse. What bombing. I reminded them of the blind shiek and the bombs he had his henchmen plant in the parking area under the WTC. Well the WTC didn’t fall, so it was really nothing. NOTHING? I walked away.

I was just a few minutes thinking of her. I was pondering a decision and one of the factors I’m using to eventually reach a decision is, “what would Kay say about this?”
So much happened since she died. I miss her terribly much.
