Good morning!

It's turned chilly again.

Violent storms struck the county's mid-section on Friday.

Bill Clinton, much to his wife's ahem, annoyance, brought up the fake Bosnia story again yesterday, and Obama's comments about rural PA voters drew criticism. His arrogance and high level of self-importance and self-regard are more and more apparent.

It’s up here too. Our low was 45 degrees, but by 0730 it was up to 59 degrees. Supposed to be in the high 70s by mid afternoon.

Oh, you should see my east-wing bathroom. It is beautiful!
For years I’ve hated the wall paper in there, but after I painted the bedroom forest green it brought out the forest green stripes in the wallpaper. So I left it alone and worked on the cabinets, I coated them with antique copper which turned them a beautiful rich brown, THEN I mopaged the towel and paper racks, the toilet & reservoir, then I attacked the outer showerstall & tub. When that dried I painted everything a bright copper and painted the the floor a lighter shade of beige than the background on the wall paper, IT IS STRIKING and neat looking. Roomey will get to see the bedroom and bath tomorrow. He will just stare. This has been a fun project, this slightly goofy woman has had a ball in there.

Ok, we just got back from Leatherheads. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d give a maximum of a 6, probably a 5. Mr. Prairie says I’m being too generous....All in all, I wish I had my money back.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kiss $20 goodbye...;-))

Obama is over in Muncie, Indiana telling everyone that what he said in San Francisco was true and we are all too stupid to understand him.

Well, not quite that way, but it’s what he means.

That guy is an elitist if ever I saw one.

The winds just came up - uh oh - could fires be in our future? Hot/windy = Santa Ana = fires.

The winds are really BAD - we hustled outside to rescue our hanging plants, and move what we could. The ferns get whipped up into a frenzy, then dry up and die - or at least go pale :)

Bringing over Toby's last post from the previous thread 'cuz I know y'all love to see him posting again:

"WHAT'S GRITS??? the meaning for life.

GOOD MORNING FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA, and believe it or not still reeling from Katrina, slow building. most construction workers gone back home and FEMA still a chain around a drowning man's neck...But we are sitting darn good at our household being we did NT have much damage.

THEN there are the trailers supplied after the storm by FEMA, they are pulling the small ore off and replacing them with Briant new reguiar size trailers. I can ASSURE you that folks will be living in them for years, rent free. a lot of them undeserving but hey, that is our federal government at work so what can you expect,

Now that I am off my ‘rage’ I am happy to report that we have No snow in the forecast here although a cool snap will come in tomorrow, down to the 60’s ‘spect I will have to wear some long pants instead of the shorts.

Been trying to talk D in letrting me move back to my ‘shack in the back’ but she won't do it until I go the doc in New Orleans in two weeks. When I do i will at least get a good ole cleaning of my shack and yes, here i the typical man, lazy on the house cleaning, not that I don't keep it somewhat clean, to my standards anyhow.

Obama seems to continue the ‘insert foot in mouth’ desease and I am telling you all it is a MUST that he be defeated,he will sink our nation as we know it today. Some of you know that once I get onto something I want let it sleep and he is my rant until election time, hope you y’all feel the same.

I just wanted to jump in here to tell you all that I pray for a good and happy day for all, one that is safe and productive IF you want it. Have a good and wonderful day/ Toby"

You have yourself a great day too Toby and DON'T OVERDO, on the grits or anything else.;-)

Love you, sweetie.

"Cool snap?? Down to the 60's?????"

I love you dearly, but you will get NO sympathy from me on that count.

I am staring out my window at a winter wonderland.:(

Grrrrr.......

Hubby’s out mowing right now. It’s a gorgeous day here. Nice and cool. Mid 60s.

But you won’t hear me bragging come July and Aug. I’ll be hibernating with the A/C running 24/7.

I’ll be hibernating with the A/C running 24/7. We do that all summer too. MR HOB is a winter guy and the pups are AC dogs.....

I lived in Virginia Beach for 2 years. I think it has the best over all four seasons. Summers are humid, but not overly hot and winters don’t last too long. It’s great if you like all four seasons. Where in VA do you live?
