New South Park episode tonight on Comedy Central - live thread!
Cartman has a gift for reaching the most difficult kids in the school system in an all-new episode of "South Park," premiering TONIGHT, Wednesday, April 9 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on COMEDY CENTRAL.
While their regular teacher, Ms. Garrison, is busy looking for a way to become the man he always intended to be, Cartman is put in charge. Soon after Cartman takes over, the kids' test scores are on the rise. Cartman decides to make a difference by working with some inner-city kids whom no other teacher has been able to reach.
This thread will go LIVE just before 10 Eastern / 9 Central / 8 Mountain / 7 Pacific! Join us then! :)

On a list of "Top 10 Things I Never, In My Wildest Imaginings, Thought I'd One Day See Posted On Free Republic"... ;)
I was going to feel reallllly bad for it when it went into butter’s house and his dad found it. I was thinking they were going to go way too far there!

OMG I was laughing my a*** off
I did see Stand and Deliver and Stand by me back in da day LOL!
They reset Edward James Olmos movie BIG TIME on that
That was the "Somewhere" song from the Spielberg cartoon "American Tail"
yep, but it’s ok to cheat your own offspring out of life. Technically legal.
Just saw it on Tivo...instant classic. One of their top 10.
They hit it all...Bill Belichek, cheating, goofy cheesy inner city school feel good story parody, abortion, penis, mice, transexuals, women afraid of mice/penis...summed it all up in 19 minutes.
Just brilliant.
I never really noticed it before until I read Coulter’s Godless and she pointed it out.
It got me thinking, every Hollywood movie about teachers glorifies them. Hey listen, I had plenty of great teachers who influenced me positively, and there are great ones out there...my mother in law and sister among them...but geez louise let’s take it easy on the melodramatics.
Straight from South Park, my employer is hosting a “Tunnel of Oppression” event next week. Here’s the email inviting all the weak minded fools on campus to participate (details omitted to protect the terminally stupid):
Dear Faculty and Staff,
On behalf of the Diversity Emerging Education Program, we would like to inform you of an upcoming event that we believe you and your students would be interested in. D.E.E.Ps second annual Tunnel of Oppression, is scheduled for Thursday, April 17th in the * Center.
Tours through the Tunnel of Oppression will begin at 6:00, 7:15 and 8:30. This program is our largest spring semester initiative to educate students, faculty and staff on diverse issues. The tunnel specifically focuses on the kinds of oppression/discrimination different groups of people face. Black Cultural Society, Multicultural Student Council, and Spectrum are collaborating with us to put on skits, which cover topics of homophobia, racism, and socioeconomic status.
The students attending will have tour guides and facilitators to direct participants through the houses which will be held in 3 Greek Houses in the * Center. Last years event was a great success, with over 200 students, and it should be again this year. We would really appreciate it if you would encourage your students to attend this event.
Sincerely,
#
Assistant Director of the Multicultural Center
