Congrats to KU. Second year in a row that the Basketball champion also won a BCS game in football. So overall a great year for the Jayhawk Nation.

If it weren’t for losing to Mizzou in football, they might have pulled off the “Gator Double” this year.
Look for Bill Self to bolt Kansas for the open position at Oklahoma State and a million dollar raise.
Oklahoma State supposedly has some horses coming in for the 2009 season.

Aside from the free throws, I want to get your opinion. If I recall, there were 2.1 seconds left in regulation when Kansas tied with the 3 pointer. Memphis had three times-out remaining. Didn’t call one of them.
I know that you can’t advance the ball in college like you can in the pros, but why not call the T.O. anyway, at least they’d get a better shot than they did...and there’s no way in hell that Kansas is going to try and foul them, as for the most part Memphis was making their throws (and Kansas DIDN’T have any TO’s left).
Interesting that the inverse of Chris Webber happened...instead of taking a timeout when you don’t have one, you don’t take a time out when you have THREE.

That was an excellent display of class, manners and sportsmanship by Coach Williams.
I am most emphatically not a Carolina fan, but I was impressed that he did that, and was also interviewed and he spoke positively about Kansas.

I am happy for Kansas. Just imagine how Davidson must feel knowing they were oh so close to knocking off Kansas.
Then Kansas fans will need decades of psychotherapy to get over that. I just hope KU fans can get on with their lives now and get over Roy.
Too bad some classless Kansas fans booed him the other night.
And don’t forget the terrible clock management by Memphis at the end of the first half, where they had the ball for the last 20 seconds, and couldn’t get a decent shot off.
So many “what ifs” for Memphis.
Calipari messed at the end of regulation. He did not tell his players to foul Kansas allowng the three pointer for the tie and as you mentioned not calling time out.
