The word on Leatherheads is that it started out as a romantic period piece, but then during the writer's strike, George Clooney took the script and totally rewrote it to be a screwball comedy. And then he tried to take the entire writing credits, claiming that since the rewrite was so extensive only he should get the credit. The Writer's Guild took him to arbitration and he lost, big-time -- and he's still miffed about it...;-))

That's it! Thanks Bit...I will definitely be seeing it IN the theatre, too.

Don't know if I can handle Clooney...in any venue..

A crazy computer geek, Monty Python references, and a wild chef...WAIT! I just realized that the chef and geek references are interchangeable!

Maybe JRandom and Bit are the same person?????Hmmmmm....;-)))

Good morning, Future Grandma. I stayed home today because we are getting our (hopefully) final blizzard of this winter.

Hmmm, interesting theory, but the science on this issue is settled: I wouldn't wish being me on anybody. Besides, JRF's culinary skills are vast, while mine are eclectic and pedestrian...;-))

OMG!
Jane! If he has to be outside today, he will not be comfortable. It’s pretty bad.

Oh till, she sounds wonderful and very smart. I think her getting the face of people was her way of protecting, however inappropriate. I believe Chow's have a reputation for that. So glad "Ginger" got a good home. I assuime if she is a house dog, it's a good home. The puppies looking different tells me she was "hit on" by different dogs. Poor thing, I can't imagine. She was probably tired of being hit on. I hope the other pups were all adopted too.

Cubby is the one who lets us know when it's time to eat, go out or get back into the routine. He's is really funny. Yesterday, Mr. HOB had them out in the fenced in yard and our neighbors doxie mix was outside too. So they put Tucker into the yard with our 4 to visit. They were pretty good. Chubby still runs from Tucker but not as much and Panda no longer tolerates him like he was just a puppy, but they do ok with each other.

Love to see a picture of Beanie if you can!

Hi prairie, I’d like to see Leathernecks too. But not because of CLooney. Mr HOB being such a rabid football fan, (reminds me of someone else here on FR @:)), I thought he’d liked to see it. He is hesitant because it stars CLooney.

My sister has a chow mix named Percy. She adopted him from PetSmart. He is super territorial and doesn’t like anyone but her. She has to board him at one place that can handle him when she goes out of town, as none of us can even get in the house to feed him.

He LOVES her, though. I have heard that they are one-person dogs, and boy, he proves it!

She is a good pup, spoiled, but a good pup, except the other day..she dug a resting place in Roomey’s okra bed. Not good, she was in the “dog house” for about 30 minutes. She kept following him around and kind of making a funny little noise...he finally “forgave” her so she was happy again. She also loves having her picture taken..I think. Whenever we’ve had a bbq and take a group picture, Beanie makes sure she’s in the middle or somewhere in the picture.

I’m more hesitant now that I know Clooney did the re-write and threw a tantrum about not getting full credit.

Besides, they are running previews on TV to the extent one worries that they are showing ALL the funny moments, trying to attract a crowd.

Let me know what you think if you see it. I really hate to reward Hollyweird with my money unless it’s deserved, however on rare occasion we’ll see a movie simply because we can’t find anything else to do.

I’m off to the grocery store to spend vast amounts of cash and probably not come home with even one meat item.

Thank you for the yummy breakfast and that HUGE bowl of grits, for Toby.

You stay in bed until you feel better, everything can wait till you’re feeling fit.

Good Morning Everyone. IT’S RAINING, finally. I think johnny is getting some pretty severe rains right now, we had them earlier, but it’s down to just a drizzle now. How did you survive the storm kassie and prairie? Was it as far southeast as you are?

Michael Clayton and The Good German were two very watchable Clooney movies...I have heard nothing but bad things about Leatherheads, sounds like he tried to repeat O Brother, Where Art Thou with a football theme...

Need anything else? I’ll check with Jem to see about the carbon chits, then I’ll dig around and find more stuff to put in my tail-smoking truck. I’ve got lots of that kind of stuff.

Little Mattie sounds like a disgrunted military washout from basic training. Poor thing...
