Sad to say that an active Freeper, Rte66, has passed away. I am her sister and have been a lurker for many years. At this point we don't know exactly what happened but it seems to be natural causes. Please keep her in your prayers. I will post her obit in coming days. If anyone needs more info they can email me here. A memorial service is pending. Thank you for being her "online family". This was her lifeline for many years. And thank you all so much for your help to her. She was much loved and she will be missed.
Rte 66 will not be forgotten, though she will be missed. She held out til the end of the Inquest, it seems. That was just like her. Determined, independent, single-minded. I always hoped we would hear of a happy ending to her struggles, along with a just verdict in the ANS case.
From what I’ve been reading, Howard K. Stern is viewed unfavorably by the majority. His guilt will shadow him his whole life, hopefully.
I guess we’ve reached the end of this phase of the ANS saga. I wonder what will happen with the Calif. case agt Dr. K? And Virgie’s case? My expectations are quite low. The only outcome I hope for is that DL be raised by her Texas kin out of the Hollywood limelight. She’ll never see a penny of the Marshall money, IMO, and good riddance to it, as Virgie has said.
Fatima, thank you for pinging me to this thread, but I thought I was posting my previous comment to the ANS thread. I’ll repost it there.
It’s so sad that we get to know our fellow freepers after they are gone. I never knew anything about Rte except that she had some oil stocks that earned a pittance. And that I worried about her health and safety and her virus infested computer! Well, she’s resting in peace now. My condolences to her family.
Thanks Kathy,your a Doll.(((Hugs)))
I am so so sorry to read of your sister’s sudden death. She was loved here at FR!!
My prayers are with your family.

Susan, as a fellow Christian, I know that Janet is now with Jesus. A Christian in Christ never dies—the body may die, but we go to be with Him.
I was thinking of someone I know,a Christian, and reminded myself that he has been “dead” for a few years. Then, it hit me..the person was not “dead” as in “ceasing to exist”, but rather that person was still alive at this very moment—only in a far better place, the place I know I will be some day, by God’s grace.
Now, I think of death as being promoted. Promoted from the rigors of earthly existence, from sin, suffering, pain, and the separation caused by death—promoted to Glory, as He has promised to those who trust in Him. Our earthly work is finished, and the life span decreed by the Father has been completed. It is time to be promoted. No mistakes, no errors, no fate—but the unseen workings of a benevolent Father, who works all things for good for those that love Him.
If we truly believe this, we must accept the reality—that Janet Ann is not lost, nor gone, nor “dead”—but because she trusted in Christ, she is alive with Him and with those that have gone before.
The day will come when you and I will be promoted too.
And at that day, we will probably never wish to go back, once we have seen what He has for us with Him.
We are wired with the emotions that come with separation, but we do not mourn as those that have no hope. If the central focus of our life is our faith in trust in Jesus and what He accomplished on the cross, then death has no victory over us.
Today, right now, instead, Janet has that victory— over death.
May our Lord’s hands of comfort be upon you and your family as you adjust to being without Janet. It will be but a small moment in the grand scheme of things, and then, you will be sisters forever—once again.
God bless you.
(just today I ckd the “Freeper Memorial Wall”, and did not see her, so I sent a PM to Jim)
God Bless her family.
Deepest condolences to the family, and to the un-countable friends around the world who also mourn the passing of a friend in spirit, one who shone so brightly with the light of wisdom and humor. Rest in Peace, my friend. May the winds carry you swiftly to the Promised Land. You will be missed and remembered.
SAME HERE.
Rte66 and I exchanged FReepmails on the OU jihadi incident. I found out just today that she is among the angels now. My condolences - I remember her fondly.

Hello.
I am so sad to hear of Rte 66’s death. I was so fortunate to know her on FR. I was the one that sent her the Reba DVD’s and I know she enjoyed them. I hadn’t heard from her in awhile and wanted to see how she was doing. I am so saddened by this news. I know she is up in Heaven chatting with other FREEPERS though. God Bless you and the rest of the family.
Naps - AKA Bob, Julie and Kids
I’m so sorry.
May she rest in peace.
My heart is broken for the loss of this great lady! I looked forward to her writings and wish I could have done something for her in real life to help ease her pain! I knew she was suffering. Hugs!!!
I feel the same way. How sad.
