My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Yup, have to go back to the salt mine. My battery is charged, so now I get to see what kind of trouble I can get in to.

Hello Soaring Feather. My muse visited me for awhile and I have started another poem. What else would it be about but the desert of course. Then the muse took a non-authorized sabbatical. I will finish the poem! Hope that all is well.

I was on a slow boat,
I was not in a hurry
We bobbed over churning seas
We thought we would be taken down
Suddenly in the dead of night
A solitary star was shown
We followed it into the dawn
O’er waters rough and brown
It guided us to a safe port
Up on dry land we stretched
The little boat left the port
The star following behind it.
