My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Two Arabs are chatting. One of them has his wallet out and is flipping through pictures.
"Yeah, this is my oldest. He's a martyr. Here's my second son. He's a martyr, too."
There's a pause.
The second Arab says, wistfully, "Ah, they blow up so fast, don't they?"

Eh gads, unfortunately, that is the way they view things. Twisted, to encourage one’s child to destroy their own life and innocents, as well.
To: Soaring Feather
Hey, why do you worry. We don’t blow ourselves up.
Well, I do, but that’s what Beano is for.

Looks like everybody is sleeping in this morning Some of us are awake. It just takes us longer to crawl to the computer.

Praying you safely home. Keep ducking! Not too much longer. LOL
When I get to Kuwait, I am going to heave such a sigh of relief.
But I won't stop worrying about all of my "family" back here. Every last one of them....even those I've never seen or met.

I know it is so confusing. And the pinger thing does not go off unless one clicks on clear pings. Then all the comments are wiped out and you have to straighten that out. Things were changed from automatic to manual.

Morning Has Broken
As sung by Cat Stevens
lyrics by Eleanor Farjeon
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the world
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day

I didn’t click “clear pings” because the thought made me nervous. What happened?

We have horizontal lines back. Now that is worth a WOO HOO.
Morning Has Broken - Lovely graphic and lyrics. Thank You LJ.
To: Lady Jag
Oh it makes your pinger clear, but what does happen is you then have to click views or something again to see you comments.
If you don’t clear pings they will accumulate in number and it stays lit.
To: Soaring Feather
We got the lines back!

LOL, yes and I am so grateful! I am nearly blind from searching where the reply link was. ;0)

You make sense explaining it, thank you, but does the process seem practical?

NO, it used to do this automatically, now we have to do it.
I think I will shut off the pinger, it takes two key strokes now to do what used to happen automatically.
To: Soaring Feather
Yeahbut, does the pinger return with new pings? It must, huh?

Oh no, It one turns off the pinger- what happens then is You Have New Posts shows up near the top of the page.
To: Soaring Feather; Lady Jag
You can still have it work the old way.
Go to your preferences page and take a look at the choices for pinging.

I know you’ll be breathing so much
easier real soon. Your “family” there
and all our awesome troops, allies,
contractors are covered in our prayers
for protection, victory and safely home.
Has Mookie really disbanded his “army?”
Be real careful this last stretch...
hugs and prayers. Hang in there.
Then, I wanna hear all the adventures
(and mis) stateside. I can only imagine .
.. LOL.
