AL QUT — Ellen Trowbridge, 35, of Vermont came here to defend Iraqi people against what she calls an unjust invasion of American military might. Now that the war is over, she's staying to protect Iraqi people from minister Franklin Graham.
"Apparently, he's coming here in the middle of May," says Trowbridge, the group's leader, who still glances at the sky as if worried about approaching bombers. "We aim to find out his schedule and keep him out."
Trowbridge came here two weeks before the war began and took up a post at an Iraqi elementary school, where she's slept on a cot for the last two months as bombs fell all around her. But instead of going home once Iraq capitulated, she and a growing group of American, Canadian and British self-designated "human shields" have moved to the border with Kuwait. They vow that workers from Samaritan's Purse and other Christian charities will have to run them over to get in the country.
"This is about theological sovereignty and the right of self-determination," she says. "If Franklin Graham gets in, that'll be a symbolic victory for the west against these Muslim people, no matter how much food these so-called charities bring in. We stand with the Iraqis against spiritual imperialism."
American troops have been ordered to hold their fire and disband the human shields peacefully, if confrontation becomes inevitable. The human shields say they will stay until they're sure the "spiritual borders are secure."
Samaritan's Purse and other ministries declined to comment, other than to reaffirm that their "plans for assisting the suffering people of Iraq have not changed." •
“This is about theological sovereignty”
So why aren’t they manning posts in the USA against the constuction of Saudi funded mosques?
Liberal bigots against Christianity is what they are.
Just wow.
It’s satire y’all..
I fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Spiritual imperialism?
Sounds like a lot of good old-fashioned anti-Christian hate.
What a bunch of useless loons!
