It’s your job to keep the green away from Justin Texas this week!!
Remember, there was a tornado there last April on race weekend.
I’ll do my best ma’am.
I hate to rub it in, but my Memphis Tigers defeated your Longhorns Sunday as well.
On to the Final Four GO TIGERS!!!!!!!
Cool place cowboy dude!
Lauren, you gotta take me there next time I’m in town!
And let's hope they get more than a 32% graduation rate this year.
Wonderful introduction.
16 out of 19 isn’t bad. Coach Cal makes scholastics a huge priority. Freshman Derrick Rose won’t be graduating for a while, but then making a living is the name of the game anyway, and when one is a multimillionaire, who cares whether the sheep skin is on the wall or not.
P.S. We CAN shoot free throws.
All the Nascar festivities are right around the corner from there Friday night.
Thank you.
I was beginning to think I broke Free Republic. :D
Well my speculation on Truex just went out the window. BUT< Chad McCUmbee is still taking on the 45 for Kyle Petty. Some pretty big shake ups there.

Labonte, General Mills to RCR

Richard Childress Racing will field a fourth car in 2009 with sponsorship from General Mills, and Yahoo! Sports has learned that Bobby Labonte, the 2000 Cup champion, will be the driver.
Labonte, who has spent the past two-plus seasons driving for Petty Enterprises, will drive the No. 33 car.
Yahoo! Sports originally reported in February this exact story that Labonte would be the driver of a fourth RCR car, with sponsorship from General Mills. At that time, Richard Childress acknowledged that he would field a fourth car, but denied Labonte would be the driver.
No, no, no, Childress told Fox Sports.
But sources close to the negotiations continue to confirm to Yahoo! Sports that a deal between Childress and Labonte is done.
Rumors of Labontes move to Childress began at the start of the 2008 season when Labonte signed to drive the No. 21 Nationwide car for Childress. It is expected the majority of the No. 21 team, headed by crew chief Shane Wilson, will move up to work on the new Sprint Car team.

Thanks for the ping, this race is close to home. Bad news for the beloved 43. Don’t think the Petty’s expected that when they hired blabonte if he were to go he’d take their primary sponsor with him. Gotta be some other Cup owners nervous, doesn’t RCR lose AT&T next year?
It’s hard to keep up with but I think AT&T is good at RCR for quite some time.
It’s not definite that Labonte will go to RCR but if I were him I would.
I was speculating when I first heard the sponsor announcement that Truex would go there as his contract is up thankfully at DEI the end of the year.
Didn’t they have to stop using the AT&T logo on the 31 as part of a settlement they reached with NASCAR over the Nextel lawsuit? RCR got to keep the logos on for only one or two more seasons at most, I thought.
& thanks for the ping!

Awesome job on the thread WCG!
I don’t know about ya’ll....
Not even to the spring Texas race and they are beginning “silly season”. Almost as bad as politics starting two years before the election!
