I wonder if David A will sing the song from RENT. lol. That is a song about AIDS afterall. They all sang it...Monchichi did a nice job. Everyone had a solo bit except Brooke. It was good but nowhere near the original cast recording.
Not exactly the most conservative show but it is really good and the music is fantastic. I try to review music given the intent of the artist it it achieved what he was trying to do. I would recommend seeing the show even if you don't agree with the message. It's worth it for the music...JMHO of course...

Skeletor Shriver and a Hopi prayerLOL! Yeah, it was that kind of a show :-/
It was even worse than last year. More preachy and self-righteous.

Will Obammie get the pimp spot?
Will Randy, Pawler and Cowbell judge the clips?
If only... then we could be treated to...
Randy (on Cankles): Yo, you did your thing, Dawg - but it was a little bitc... I mean pitchy.
Pawler (on B-HO): {Slurp} I felt your soul tonight.... {Hic} You could read us the phone book and..... {Pawler passes out}
Simon {on McCain}: You look ghastly, and you sounded very cabaret. How in the hell did you make it this far?

No, what is the story behind the song? I love the CD and use to watch the concert on PAX when the station existed.

Good morning, Jonny. Sorry I didn't get on the thread the last couple of days. I have a job interview at 2:00pm today and needed time to prepare work samples, etc.
Here's a quirky addendum to 'Idol Gives Back' -- limited edition postage stamps. I kid you not.
This week the stamps feature Kelly Clarkson. Here's a link to the U.S. Postal Service ad for the stamps. There are only 2000 sheets available per state. Excuse me while I go rush to my local P.O. to buy my set [/sarc].

I downloaded Shout to the Lord from iTunes, and it does begin with, “My Jesus, My Savior” and continues using His name throughout the song.

I was shocked when I saw Mrs. Schwartzenegger!
We were a little shocked at the size of her backside as she was walking toward the front of the stage.

Who should go: Syesha Who will go: Syesha(if not her then Carly) Syesha should go. Carly needs better songs and has the most talent, which is why she won't last. She should do some Annie Lennox. Thew two blonde girls...talk about pitch problems. I'm surprised when they are on pitch.

The AI version is worth downloading from iTunes. I’m on my way to see if I can download the video of it so I can see who is singing which parts. It’s very, very powerful and they actually use the word JESUS throughout.
To: ChocChipCookie
Really? The AI version does?
Well, they apparently didn’t want to do it live. Might OFFEND someone you know. The cross offends.

To: Shelayne
It’s an amazingly powerful version. I’ve been listening to it for the past hour. Wow.

I have to comment on Carly’s appearance last night. I watched a minute or two of the last number in which the Idols were all wearing white. Carly looks fabulous and even quite thin AND the ghastly tattoos were covered. Simon was so right when he suggested she talk with her fashion advisors. In the right outfit she looks stunning.
