She and you are in my prayers. Please let us know how she’s doing.
In the meantime, hold her close and tell her that there are a lot of puppy-loving FReepers who would hug her, too.
Dogs only break your heart once.
You so have my Prayers Rintense.....,Take Care
Oh I will be more than happy to pray for your little Daisy. I love my dogs like they are my children. I haven’t seen you here in a long time rintense.
Prayers up for your beloved Daisy. She's a magnificent looking pup, and I admire your committment to her. Please keep us updated on her progress, and feel free to freepmail if you need to vent. Take care, and keep the faith,

When our dog (a mutt we had adopted from the pound) was 4 years old he was diagnosed with IMHA. We didn’t know he was sick until one day he just collapsed. We rushed him to the vet, and the vet told us he probably wouldn’t make it because his blood count was so low. He suggested transfusions as a last resort but we couldn’t afford them ($2000 per day for several days.)
So we brought him home thinking we’d make him comfortable and just see what happened. The vet prescribed steroids and antibiotics for a few days. We hand fed him and used a syringe for water because he was soooo weak, but eventually he began to regain his strength and his blood counts improved. It was several weeks till he could even manage to stand on his own.
But I’m happy to report that even though the vet told us he’d probably not survive, he is alive and well 7 years later. He’s now 11 going on 12, and can keep up with our other dogs when they go for walks. Dogs are amazing creatures. Hope your Daisy recovers!
I understand your hurt.
Prayers for Daisy and you.

Thanks you much! Vet called two minutes after I posted here and said she had a slot open up tomorrow. This is good.
Growing up, I had a dog that made it to 18 years old and she was as much a part of the family as myself or my parents. I understand how tough it is to have a pet facing the worst.
Prayers. =^..^=
Prayers being sent your way from this house with three of God’s beloved, furry creatures!
Prayers up...and this is from a cat person!! ;)
Oh my! Prayers offered up for your beautiful dog too. In a way, I wish this object was a tumor. But its something she decided to eat. Silly girl. Let me know how the surgery goes. I will say a prayer for her and you.
Thank you for your prayers. I will post an update tomorrow.
Thank you so much for your prayers. I know I appreciate them, as does Daisy. She is resting comfortably right now, belly still satiated with steak and hamburger.
What a wonderful story! Daisy is such a fighter, so I have faith in her, as well as Above, that she will be ok. Daisy’s symptoms were she just stopped eating and refused to go for a walk- which NEVER happens. So I was in shock when the vet told me what was going on. She’s been on steroids and Danazol (the human stuff) for a week and the numbers have not improved. I am praying that whatever she ate is what’s causing the problem- and that she’s strong enough to make it through the surgery.
I’m a cat person too. But don’t tell Daisy! ;)
