Its 436 MB - so if you have a dial-up connection, you're better off ordering a CD. :)

You can wait for it to show up in Windows Update. I haven't seen it yet. This one incorporates a record 100 changes and fixes behind the Windows Vista architecture. It was worth the wait.

It was worth the wait. Can I wait until 3009?

How do you determine which “bit” version of Vista you may have?

Right click on “Computer” (formerly My Computer) and select Properties. It will say either 32-bit O.S. or 64.

Its sitting in Update waiting for me to let it rip. Is it really a good thing? I’m a little gunshy after the XP to Vista upgrade that came with our Dec. 2006 PC purchase didn’t exactly go smoothly.

Now the question is not only what it will fix, but what it will break in the process.

Actually, is says right on that page not to use this large download for just a standalone machine and has a link to Windows Update which tags me to a 65mb download. This one is for deployment setups, don’t use it at home.

I installed it, and am glad I did.
But start the sucker running when you go to bed, because it will have your PC tied up for a VERY long time.
