I was BANNED from the Democratic Underground (DU) today.
I was banned for posting the following thread:
Subject: WOW!!! Sen. Obama is playing us like a fiddle!
Text: Sen. Obama's team set up this whole Race debacle from the get go, just so that he would have the stage set for this absolutely stirring speech on race relations. I have never seen the race card played so brilliantly in all the history of American politics. BRILLIANT!!!!
If the media gives this speech as much play as the racist Rev. Wright issue, and they will...he will find the new momentum he needs to secure the popular vote in the dem primary, no doubt. This man may even be our next POTUS, judging by the brilliant political savvy his team is displaying and his heaping helping of charisma, he is looking very very good!
Can any of you see this backfiring? I simply can not.

After being referred to as a "troll freeper," I wanted to join this forum as a liberal and see what it is you folks are all about. So, here I am, letting you conservatives know that there are liberals being banned by the [expletive deleted] from Liberal forums because we do NOT agree with the path Sen. Obama et al. have chosen. I am not the only one that has been banned for speaking out against these race card tactics.
Many of us are disgusted.
I'm sure it will not be long before I'm banned here too, but I will play by your rules until then.

I have no problem with any of that. Would you also agree that differential treatment by race ("affirmative action" and so on) also exerts a divisive force by creating resentment among whites and cheapening the achievements of blacks?
You shouldn’t have been banned. You and many others including independents and republicans were duped by Obama.

I would love the idea that the racist Rev. Jeremiah Wright could not spew his racist vitriol unless secluded in a compound in Northern Idaho somewhere.
It's not really a bad thing when we hear idiots like (un)rev Wright and Fred Phelps spew their hate. When they do it they expose themselves for what they are.
Yeah, he explained that his poor old grandmother's concern over a black vagrant aggressively demanding money from her is morally equivalent to a raving lunatic pastor screaming hate rhetoric from the pulpit for the past 20 years.

Today, economic Marxism is so discredited that leftists don't push it as their main line of attack as much as they once did. Instead, we have cultural Marxism, which is what liberals call “diversity” or “multiculturalism”. We're assured that “tolerance” of all forms of “diversity” will eventually lead to a society that's race-blind, gender-blind, orientation-blind, and so forth. Yes, maybe in the short run we'll have to do some dictatorial things, like using the courts to force same-sex “marriage” down people's throats, or looking the other way when black punks on a bus beat up a white woman. But the end result will be peace and love and harmony and Kum-Ba-Ya.
Well, that's not what happens. What happens is that everyone becomes totally and even fetishistically (is that a word?) attached to race, gender, and all these other categories and they become the defining characteristics of people's identity. The result is that the Democratic primary is now being fought over race and gender “turf”. And the more liberal elements in the GOP want us to go the same route. Witness the obsession some people in the GOP have with having open borders, with Condi Rice as VP, etc..
It's only going to get worse until we say enough is enough and decide that multiculturalism and “diversity” are killing us as a nation and a civilization.

The most intelligent liberal site - by far - is "Comment Is Free" run by the Guardian (England). There you find a real, free exchange of ideas between Left and Right. You won't be banned (if you don't make threats) but you will be humiliated if you are ignorant or stupid...and insulted if you aren't.
But you make a BIG mistake if you post only to liberal sites. Free Republic is a wonderful conservative site and you should make an effort to stay here. They won't tolerate liberal fools or party operatives but otherwise you'll learn a great deal if you can take the initial abuse (frat hazing).
In the spirit of bipartisanship I must warn you, regardless of anything Darksheare tells you, there is no “Mandatory FReeper Initiation” involving a vat of tapioca pudding, jumper cables and a midget.
