I'm turning it off, going to bed to read. I saw a waitress this evening who'd be better at reading the teleprompters than the starlets, who are unrecognizeable to me. Oh, they weren't starlets, they were lowly technicians and their families? So sorry.

Oh, yes, I also caught a moment of a white guilt standing ovation by the minimum wage technicians, Jack Nicholson among tthem, and their families (i.e. whoever Jack is screwing this week.) I repeat: a show of self-congratulation by lucky simpleton talentless millionaires. (The two idiots on the screen right now th eproof of my assertion.)

I never knew a man who would kiss another man on the lips. Maybe he’s Italian? (Just wondering - nothing against Italians.)

did you notice they were showing a picture of Nicole instead of a live shot, she is at the oscars. I am so used to Perez Hilton making fun of her frozen face that I had to look for a second to make sure that wasn’t a live shot.

looks like Stewart’s baby joke was written with the assumption that Nicole Kidman was going to be there? Must be short on material...

Actually filmmaking is hard work and takes quite a bit of talent. The broadcast only shows the actors sitting up front not the majority of people attending.

According to Baronage, Tilda Swinton is Scottish born and Scottish blue blood all the way back to the 9th Century, in the Scottish border lands of Swinton.

She attended day school in London, and then she was a classmate of Princess Diana's in boarding school at West Heath. Tilda Swinton attended Cambridge University majoring in English Literature and Political Science.

“Actually filmmaking is hard work and takes quite a bit of talent.”

Absolutely. It can be pure hell but definitely satisfying when a project is complete.

Why are they handing out the Best Actress Award at this time?

Oh dear, "3:10 to Yuma" lost in the sound category. I was hoping it would win - it was a wonderful film. I'm sorry that Yuma and American Gangster didn't garner more respect from the Academy. As a fan of the stars of both films, I highly recommend those films, which are both out on DVD.

The show’s supposed to end at 8, right? I guess the :45-to-end is the time.
