I was just in a western mood as it was, (I just did a rewrite on the old style western I wrote and that sort of put me in the mood.)
How about the rest of you all try a western pome.
Ol Sal hoisted up her belt
she was a tough gal and
wore leather chaps over
men’s pants and she chewed, too
She was a double fisted drinker
bellied up to the bar with the best
cowboys, Ol Sal had ever seen.
But she was rough as sand stone
in the desert, long stringy hair
she smelled like a pole cat from
fifty yards away.
Ol Sal, was packing heat too
a six gun slung around her full waist
for her top she sported a lacy blouse
it had seen better days and was in rags
Sal’s old horse was about on his last legs
she did the best she could for him
out there living on the raw range
no barn or lean to for Old Mr. Ed
Sal did not have much better to weather herself in
it was an old Gold miners shack, leaning heavily
to the right.
It was sparsely furnished, an old straw mat
with a few old quilts, mostly rags by now
and on pot bellied stove stood in the center
of the shack and on top of the old stove
with the flat top sat an old beat up
enameled coffee pot, a few tin mugs
sat on the old table and not much else in sight.
Old Sal, sat on a stool and wonder to herself
how the hell did I get here. My head feels
like it is gonna bust wide open, too much
rot gut whiskey last night, or was it for the week
she could not pull up a memory as to how long she
had been in town.

LOL, ya done good, Rusty my man, real good.
It was fun, and Old Sal sounds like a gal any cowboy would like, a real woman, with attitude and nearly nude.
