My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I thought so, too. Seems like it was used in most countries and now most imformed people in most countries are tending to avoid saturated fat.
That info got me looking into butter, olive oil and margarine. Can you put those 3 in order of saturated fats? I bet you can!

From the link you supplied: Traditional margarine (~80% fat) has more saturated fat than lard! Isn’t that incredible?
Butter is 51%
Olive Oil is 7.5-20%
All from Wikipedia

I never liked the taste of margarine, but have used it. It is better for cooking as it does not burn are fast as butter, but one can use part butter and part margarine.

Ma, how did the snow removal session go?? LOL

Luckily Mom hated margarine and refused to use it. She was at an age when the fake stuff came out that her Youthful stubbornness created a true hatred of it.
She didn’t bake or maybe she would have changed her mind. In turn she influenced me. I tried margarine a few times and didn’t like the taste or texture.
I don’t bake or fry except for eggs and then I use olive oil, Use butter in pastas and on toast but it seems I don’t use much. Never thought of it till now.
Surely we all get lots of saturated fats in some prepared foods.

My head is stuffy, my ear aches off and on and I have a cough.
What I need are some pork chops breaded in white flour and fried so the untrimmed fat is crispy, cream gravy made using the pork chop drippings ..some deep fried okra and some turnip greens seasoned with bacon..For dessert I need a rich chocolate pie with a flaky, made with lard, crust ..Oh memories!
I use only canola oil for baking..Promise cholesterol lowering spread instead of butter, no fat sour cream..
I haven’t had a stick of margarine in my house since I came home in 06..I buy butter for holiday or family dinners... I miss bacon..I have not given up frying country sausage at least once a month and using the pan drippings to make cream gravy.
LARD (pork fat)tastes good and is so important for cooking many traditional “southern” dishes.

Dust, mold. pollens, air! the latest is Febreeze dryer sheets.(hives)
I have no trouble at all compared to younger days when I had to get injections and spend a lot of time with the ENT doctor clearing out my sinuses.
I already feel so much better ..though the ear zings me about once an hour or so to get my attention. The coughing has abated. I am going to continue taking antihistimines I rarely take them any more.

Pork fat rules!! Your menu sounds delicious, bring on the gravy by the bowl full. I use butter, my blood tests for cholesterol came back and all is well.
I don’t get into the sour cream very much but do love it.
I will say, Southern Ladies know how to cook, I watch the Paula Deene show - her foods are swimming in butter. Good though. I have a recipe for her Cheese bread, oh mercy, that is so good.
So sorry you are not feeling well. Take care Meg.
