vanity:HOW TO PROTEST THE VOTE: WRITE IN YOUR OWN NAME
FREEPER FLIGHTLINE | 2-7-2008 | racebannon

I can only think of one appropiate way to protest the vote this year. Since each of the candidates fails to represent the views of the people concerning right and wrong; and since the Democrat Party has 2 lead persons running who are either questionable a Muslim in hiding or a Marxist in the open; therefore let it be resolved that in the event of the upcoming election we should all write in our own names or the name of a friend.

I’m beginning to think that our whole republic is in danger of imploding.

This has been coming for awhile. The whole entitlement mentality. Combine that with the crusaders, who feel their only reason for existing is to make things “better” for somebody else!

We are supposed to be “self governing”. Boiled down to it’s purest form, that means we have one and only one person we can legitimately govern.
Ourselves!

I offer another alternative.

Why not support Obama starting now?

He’s the last front runner Washington doesn’t want!

This could eliminate McCain and Hillary, and once Obama is in the White House we’ll go against him on the issues just like we did against Bill Clinton.

From a Fred Thompson supporter...

McCain will stay in Iraq and not slice and dice our military, best scenario, he is tough on the WOT.
Yes I disagree with his position on torture.

You want hill or obama who will

not only support illegals but
give Iraq back to the terrorists, weaken our national security and military.

I am staying with the repub ticket and choosing the lesser evil.
I have NO choice but to pick the repub, so far its McCain.
If someone else happens to jump in and there is an “R” next to their name.
I vote them in. I will NEVER vote a “D” anytime.

For those that do not want McNut or Huck, I believe Romney’s name might still be on the ballot. Vote for Romney will in effect be a no vote for McNut or Huck. I suspect there might be a huge rush to print new ballots to remove Romney, but he might still be on some. Let’s go!!!!!!!! McNut will still win, but what fun.

Obama votes are always sensitive towards islamic issues.

If you really mean your tagline then don’t vote for the party that is friendly to islam.

Pissant for President! Has a nice ring.

Or maybe a JimRob / Pissant ticket.

While I think this is humorous, it is also the only way to approach this.
It does not matter.

The media proclamations of Romney being a conservative are ignorant of Romney’s reputation while Governor, nor is the media admitting Romney gave Massachusetts gay marriage and government mandated insurance policies for ALL citizens, except for illegal aliens who get health care free anyways.

McCain trying to switch parties in 2001 is a disgusting back stabbing act, and just another nail in his coffin he built for himself by supportiung democrats more than his own party on moral issues and immigration issues.

Huckabee is the most conservative of all republicans left but among his faults, he believes in Illegal Aliens getting more rights than citizens. That alone disqualifies him for this leadership position.

Since this means we have no conservative in the race, that leaves us. Each and every one of the Free Republic.com membership is more conservative than any of the candidates running.

Some have said that we can replace the congress with the first 580 people out of the New York City phone book and get better, more intelligent persons.

I believe that we as freepers make the better candidate. Each and everyone of us.

Therefore, Vote for yourself or for a friend. If you choose, select a favorite Freeper and write him/her in as a group so that person has the distinction of being listed as a write-in vote for the Presidency of the United States in the 2008 election.

And many of us don't seem to be very good at governing ourselves, which is one reason for the mess we're in now.

It is not important what I want, individually. It is important how we get the most conservative possible policies enacted with what we have.

Of course I don’t want the current candidates. But no one cares about my feelings. I don’t expect them to. If I cast my vote, and it turns out the winner didn’t need my vote to win, I don’t expect to be able to do anything about that.

Why don’t we start a movement here and draft a write in candidate.

We brought down Dan Blather. We can try this too.

Race..to be honest I already voted (NJ) and my vote went to Romney.

IMO, voting for myself or another FRiend would be, in affect, a vote for Obama or Hillary.

That my FRiend is an insult to their memory, since they would cut and run from Iraq.
