Not so much during the Vietnam War, although some would claim that, he is a traitor to the Republican Party and the Conservatives who supported the party so long.
McCain hates Conservatives and is stabbing us/them in the back. THAT is where McCain turncoated.
I’ve seen that here, months ago.
Don’t take the mans statement out of context.
To his own Party, yes. What sort of political virtue is that?
To his Country? Only in power-grabbing by using the 1st Amendment. We can always get another leader, we can't easily regain lost freedoms.
Don’t take the mans statement out of context.
Yeah, I don't remember if he fought for William of Normandy or King Harrold of England, but I'm sure he was on the wrong side then, too.
yeah, I know it was a typo, but he does seem to be that old!
So did many, many others! McCain has exploited his status as a POW. A selfegrandizing braggart!
He has not shown unity by supporting the party on the major issues for the last 10 years.
Why should we show unity by voting for him?
I’m pretty sure that was a Freeper. I’ve been quoting the Sowell article, ever since the day it appeared and it has angered a lot of Huckabee and McCain supporters on FreeRepublic. I even added it as my tag line.
The majority of conservatives relate to that caller! Wake up America!!
That caller was shameful and a moron. How would he handle being tortured for 5 years.
The way he's selling out our country to the illegals?
Yes, he is.
Rush is playing the call again...stay tuned.
McCain retired a Naval Captain which is one very large step below admiral. Check his naval career HERE.
Benedict Arnold became a “traitor” as it were, because Washington would not give him the resources to drive the British north of the St.Lawrence River. Arnold wanted to drive them off the continent and figured that the natural protection of the river and great lakes would give the continental army some breathing room, until they had cleared the colonies and were ready to take Canada and Quebec.
When Washington declined, Arnold figured the war was lost and decided that it was better to get back with the Brits before he was hung.
Thank you! I thought I had read that in one of Sowell’s recent articles.
I would never vote for McCain.
I’m saying let’s not denigrate his service even if he does it himself.
Arnold was a flat-out traitor.
..............................
Not true, he did become one -
but was a war hero prior to that.
Gotcha. My bad.
