Maybe one of his players hit him back
If so he's currently unavailable for comment...........still in intensive care.

Bobby is 67 years old...
It might just be time to retire, and get a lucrative TV gig...

Pat has been the coach designate for a few years now if I recall correctly.

I don’t know. Most bullies have a problem when people stand up to them, and Bobby Knight is a quintessential bully.

Though I will say he does have a sense of humor about himself. One of our friend from a local charity group we work for/with got him to sign a folding metal chair for a fundraiser silent auction!

Not necessary - I just hadn't heard anyone saying he was still doing things like that.
He said before that he will retire in Lubbock - loves Tech and the area. And with his son taking over the team, I'm sure he wants to stay near grandchildren.
Good luck to Coach Knight! Happy retirement

So was University of Memphis coach, Calipari. He said that he has no idea why Knight would resign..
My guess is that he just got tired of smelling all of those feed lots.

I’m so sad to read this. I hope that it isn’t health related. Have a wonderful retirement, Coach. Thanks for the memories!

It was great while it lasted.
Always had a lot of respect for Knight, even though his tactics weren't the ones I would use. Then again, he has 902 wins and I have zero.
Guns Up, Coach! Thanks for the memories.
