Troubled pop star Britney Spears has been taken to hospital in an ambulance to "get help".
The ambulance picked Spears up at her Studio City home shortly after 1:30 am (0930 GMT). It was escorted to the hospital by more than a dozen motorcycle officers, two police cruisers and two police helicopters.
Los Angeles police would not immediately confirm the report but one officer, who requested anonymity, said Spears was being taken to "get help".
Celebrity gossip website TMZ.com reported Spears was rushed to UCLA Medical Center where she was to be placed on a 5150 hold, the involuntary confinement of a person deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.

You’re joking right, they had multiple cops last time and they could keep the vultures at bay. They were jumping on the ambulances bumper to get pictures inside.
IMO they should be arresting some of the vultures so maybe it would disperse the throngs.
Things like this would not happen under Sharia Law. As with other affluent young women who have everything and are accountable for nothing in a liberal haven, Spears has no moral compass to guide her. For her it is probably too late.
Just heard on FNC that the FAA cleared airspace over the route so that overhead chopers could not follow the parade!
TMZ is reporting that her shrink says she hasn’t slept since saturday.
I bet the shrink is just damn tired of holding her hand.

...or simply instructing the ambulance driver to run over anyone who stands in front of it.

Its stupid, its pathetic but there examples of this all over the country with people who have problems. Most people don’t have the media following their every move. The vultures stand next to her car so she hits them. Its sad but its also about all of these vultures picking at the carrion.
I think the point was arresting people for hampering an EMT or fireman in conducting their duty by jumping on the ambulance and getting in the way, not for taking pictures. The photographers are ghouls.

Dude, whats with the personal attack? Don’t you ever get tired of it? The vultures here are not innocent and you would probably shoot them if they treated you like they treat her.
Clearly not an equal comparison to the other story but your pride can’t let you admit that.
It’s only a matter of time before a “celebrity” kills themselves in full view of the paparazzi and media, and those soulless bastards will print every frame.
Britney is a prime candidate for this.
They need all the police, because they will literally shut down traffic in any part of town the ambulance is in, and put innocent people in danger running red lights, driving in the wrong lane to get next to it, even driving over sidewalks. Unless you’ve seen the feeding frenzy in person, you have no idea how truly dangerous it is to be around.
The papparazzi and press need to be reigned in, big time.

IMO taking pictures of people in a public place is not the same as what these vultures do. They hound these stars and make their life hell. Its sad what is happening to this young woman and I’ll be surprised if she lives another year. I’m sure we’ll have pictures of that event and the gory details available for sale on ebay.

I’m starting to think that maybe she just enjoys ambulance rides.
