That is from way up. See the car, the person walking, the phone poles? The flag could be 2 blocks long.
The car is probably 12’ long so the flower rows are wider than the car is long.
It could be from 500 to 1000 feet up. It’s high enough so you can’t see the rows.
I’ve seen beautiful cut fields in Lancaster PA from @ 14,000 feet. Would a commercial jet at 32-37,000 feet see it? I doubt it.
If it is close to an airport, which is possible being California, with jets from the east then the aircraft could be much lower and it would certainly stand out.
and a RATTLE AND ROLL.
Maybe you don't have the right speech writer.. I'll bet Obama would lend you his for a little while. ;)
(Never mind...that might be a baaaad mix, lol.)
Thank you, Doggie. It’s looks like you all had a great time. (Wish I was having that ice cream.) Five miles WOW, I haven’t even made a mile on my treadmill yet.
That tree in the first pic looks petrified, is it? Nice shot.
I have a feeling that the second pic is a lot more treacherous than it looks from here. Scale-wise I mean.
LOL, your kitty looks very smart and very patient. What a cutie.
I’m not sure of flight patterns but it’s close enough to LA to figure perhaps more aircraft passengers will see it, sure.
I gotcha, LJ! It just looks so big, I was just wondering how far up one could see it. It’s a great pic!

Oh, goodness, Cardy, I’m falling behind in your presentations!
That Japanese hamburger one was pretty cool, my son would love to learn that trick! :)

Ahem...like most of mine are. ;)
Great pictures, Sundog, looks like a great time was had by all! What a beautiful, peaceful place.
P.S. - Bad kitty!!
Waddaythink Scott’s comes out with a 3-pack of fertilizer, one each with sufficient amount of red, white and blue for those who would like to make temporary patriotic designs.
What a nice Panorama, Cardy. Very interesting story too. Thank ya.
Oh.........and I can do that Hamburger trick. You don’t think I cook alllll the time do you?
I’d love to grow a flag in my yard but I don’t think it’s big enough!
That is my trouble - I need a new speech writer not new policies. :)
But guys I have a great PowerPoint coming up which is a keeper. You will see America and Canada as you have never seen it before. It is “advance on click,” so LJ will be able to save the pics - I have already got them so if you want any just ask me.
The music is by Ernesto Cortazar, which I know grannie likes.
Today, I have been inundated with new stuff and have not had time to check it out and see what is appropriate for DD.
Keep working at it wench.
That Panorama program is great. I must get it for myself.
How big is the flag I fly? 2x4 feet? How small is your yard?
Depending on what flowers are planted and how high they get, if you based the flag on one blue flower, that’d still need a lot of red and white flowers.
I used to know what flowers those were in the photo. I supposed blue would have the most limited selection...
1500.
