Well, I’m glad somebody got a laugh out of it. I’m crawling under the floor-boards in the closet, after sending it to my daughter-in-law.

I honestly didn’t click on the link (thank God!) - just clicked the page, and the slide show started.

I did get ahold of my DIL to warn her. She told everybody in the room (at her meeting) that her MIL was sending her porn links! I could hear the laughter in the background, and almost started crying.

Thanks for making light of what could have turned out to be a VERY embarassing situation, Pandy! (Especially if my DIL had sent the link (from her husband’s mother) to ALL her friends!)

Sorry Yorkie, it most certainly was a mistake. I received this, as you did, played it and passed it on. I never followed the link, otherwise, if I had known I would have removed the first and last pages.

Actually, it really did not send anyone to a porn site just a domain host like a Media Wikipedia that had links to porn sites. I took me quite a while to get to the actual site which had what it claimed but also included links to such sites.

In reality, no one was inadvertently sent to a porn site - if they went to one then it was with their full knowledge and cooperation, so don´t let them embarrasses you yorkie.

My advice don´t follow links - lol

Good morning everyone. It was quite exciting here a few minutes ago, as we felt the sonic boom when the shuttle went over. Shook all the windows in the house, lol. Wow... Unfortunately it was partly cloudy, so couldn’t catch a glimpse of it. I did see it go off once from this house tho. ;)

Cardy, that Israel PPP was wonderful. In fact all the Links you’ve posted lately have been lots of fun.

I didn’t follow any links in the Israel one tho, so I’m a goood gurl, (unlike some others on DD.......;) heh heh heh.)

That flower flag was grown in Lompoc, California. A little north of LA.

Libby, finally you’re back. I thought your computer might have died on you.

Hope you’re feeling better now, poor kid.

Oh no..I didn’t go there knowing where I was going. I downloaded the powerpoints & got this big blue screen. I never used this program & I thought I was supposed to open it. I was fine once I saw where I was & I got to Israel. But I did not knowingly open a porn link for your information. I laughed about it & then so did yorkie. But being unaware of what I was doing I did get to that site. I don’t do porn. And I didn't get a wiki link. yorkie knows what link I got. Once you got past that the show was indeed beautiful. Thank you..Pandora

LOL!

I always just click a blank space on the page to get a PPP started. I was relieved to reach my DIL, and warn her (she was at a meeting at Synagogue), and here is what she wrote back:

"Wow that porn was great!!!!! Thanks! Just kidding...I followed your directions. By the way, I explained the situation to the temple members in my fundraising meeting & they all thought how thoughtful you were to call me & tell me. They also thought I must have a pretty great relationship in that you & I could joke about things like that."

So, all in all, it turned out to be an evening with many mixed emotions, and ended with a good laugh.

You heard/felt the sonic boom? Woa! Too bad it is cloudy - you could have told us what it looked like!

You are a good gurl grannie9 — I can never get them to follow any instuctions I give them but when they go off on their own without guidance, then I get blamed. :)

I have been so busy this morning learning CSS while working on style sheets for my Web Site. I will send you all a bit of magic when my host has finished processing it.

I tiefed that photo from a PPS called the Last Frontier – I can’t post it yet as the music is all messed up. It is supposed to be the Royal Philharmonic playing Aria de Amor from Tosca, but it seems who ever stole it had two separate tracks mingled with each other. I may have to replace it with something else.

Tsk, tsk! I meant a straight on view from WAY up, not a low side view. I should have been more specific.....it must have been past my bedtime. :)

Hi Gran,

Just for you, yes I do.

Here is one taken through an ancient tree on the trail, with my daughter looking in through a hole where a limb used to be.

Here is another pic looking closer at the 'dare you to do this' steps.

The girls loved their icecream, tastes much better after a five mile hike.

This last one needs to be a poster entitled, "If at first you don't succeed, try the obvious." It is our kitty on our bird feeder. Kitty is helping save on our sunflower seed budget.

When you showed me the link to Sedona, Arizona, shown above, I immediately thought how it seems just like Las Médulas, an area, not far from here, where the Romans mined for gold in the 1st century. Your mesas are much more natural as only the winds have eroded them.

"What happens in Las Medulas is far beyond the work of giants. The mountains are bored with corridors and galleries made by lamplight with a duration that is used to measure the shifts. For months, the miners cannot see the sunlight and many of them die inside the tunnels. This type of mine has been given the name of Ruina Montium. The cracks made in the entrails of the stone are so dangerous that it would be easier to find purpurine or pearls at the bottom of the sea than make scars in the rock. How dangerous we have made the Earth!"

Pliny also stated that 20,000 Roman pounds of gold were extracted each year. The exploitation, involving 60,000 free workers, brought 5,000,000 Roman pounds (1,650,000 kg) in 250 years.

"In the 1st century A.D. the Roman Imperial authorities began to exploit the gold deposits of this region in north-west Spain, using a technique based on hydraulic power. After two centuries of working the deposits, the Romans withdrew, leaving a devastated landscape. Since there was no subsequent industrial activity, the dramatic traces of this remarkable ancient technology are visible everywhere as sheer faces in the mountainsides and the vast areas of tailings, now used for agriculture." World Heritage

This is a fun 360º Panorama - just move your mouse left or right or up and down to see it all. "Click" to move around, "Shift" and "Click" to zoom in, "Ctrl" and "Click" to zoom out.
