After taking off her underwear in Whole Foods Market in Palo Alto, a middle-aged woman was arrested early Friday. Officers received a call around 8:30 a.m. that a woman was throwing bread and other items in the store, Palo Alto Police Sgt. Natasha Powers said. "She was sitting and screaming," Powers said.
The woman, who refused to identify herself, took off her underwear and might have thrown them at someone, but she did not hit anyone, Powers said. "I know she took them off. I don't know what she did with them after that," Powers said.
The woman was arrested on charges of assault and creating a disturbance and is currently in the San Jose Main Jail, Powers said.

Considering what the prices are like in that joint, I can feel her pain.
This is really poorly written. Was she actually arrested for NOT throwing her underwear at someone?
The Clinton Campaign has moved on to California already?
She probably was reacting to the prices. Whole Foods bought a good upscale, three location food vendor here and ruined it. Prices doubled, selection is lower, and their “all natural/organic” empahasis is way too pervasive.
We need pic’s to determine guilt or innocence.
I agree on the pricing....I just moved to Dallas and they do not have Trader Joe’s where the pricing is better and I love their stores.....I have been emailing them encouraging them to move in....
Moral: High cost food wrapped in organic marketing makes you throw your underwear.
I’m less than impressed with Whole Foods. Trader Joes is cheaper, and World Market has triple the selection.
“took off her underwear and might have thrown them at someone”
Was Tom Jones working checkout?
Julio Iglesias wasn’t anywhere in the store, was he?
Arrested for getting her panties in a knit?
No enough here to judge guilt or innocence.
Based on the people I see at Whole Foods, I find this completely believable.
But, they are the ONLY folks around here who carry wild, Gulf shrimp on a regular basis, unlike the other chains that sell that dirty water, farm raised crap from Indonesia and China.
They don't call it "Whole Paycheck" for nothing...
LOL
I have friends who refer to the store as “Whole Paycheck”
