Your guy exits just as Fred’s campaign hits a major bump due to him never becoming the consensus conservative, thanks in large part by the unappeasable Hunterites taking their constant pot-shots at Fred here on FR and elsewhere.
So what are you guys going to do now?
Are you going to go to Fred, or have you all suddenly found religion on the whole “he can’t win the nomination” argument?
Or are you going to rally around Mike Huckabee, as I suspect?
My guess is that they’re mostly going to sit this one out and grouse about “If Duncan Hunter were X, then Y” for the next four years.
