Garsh I love 80’s songs! Indulging the inner cheesey with 80’s songs is one of my guilty pleasures.

Paula: Kinda surprised you picked that song. What I love about you Luke. You have such a great instrument-- And here I thought Paula stopped dating contestants.

Speaking of Danjaya, do you know that the original, Sanjaya, has a gig on the TV Guide channel hosting something called “Idol Stars, Where Are They Now?” The...ahem...”stars” are all the also rans, plus the occasional feature on Fantasia, Daughtry, etc. I don’t know if the gig was a one-time thing or a regular series. I stumbled over it while flipping channels. It was sort of like staring at a traffic accident. Briefly compelling in a bizarre way, but glad to move on.

That has to be one of the faggiest songs ever. What an odd choice for him to sing.

This is the first time I’ve seen the guys and I gotta say, that Luke - what a doll! And he takes criticism well. Smiled right to the end.

Oh boy. I can win Heidi Klum’s dress. I could put it over one thigh. Maybe.

Elliott Yamin Katharine McPhee duet Real Love from Randy Jacksons Music Club
Jeez, between this fiasco (Although Elliot sounded real good) and that Paula Abdul "song", I'm coming to the conclusion that Randy Jackson sure knows how to put together crappy music.

Your whole post is right on and I was thinking the same thing when I read SJ's comments about Carrie's latest album.
It isn't just about having a good voice. It isn't just about being an "artist." Quaint concept though it may be to some these days, it's about ENTERTAINMENT.
Just goes to show, song selection STILL MATTERS.

Wasn't there a South Park episode about needing Ritalin in order to listen to this stuff?
