OK, I’m in.
Agreed.
And generally, unlike many people I see on FR anymore, I am not a kneejerk kind of person. Have a good evening.

***You as well. Are you going to answer the question about whether you agree with the definition?
Then you copy-and-paste Jim's definition of a "conservative" (which looks pretty solid to me personally).
I do believe I already did! Good night.
P.S. I can actually remember when everybody at FR was conservative ... we weren't just a wing. Ahhh, those were the days!
Count me in too.
OOPS. Thanks for the correction. Glad to see it. That must explain why your reasoning comes across so clear.
Present.

***OK, RINO. Your wish is my command.
Hi. I’m HoosierHawk and I approved this message.
Cheers!
“5” redux? No thanks.
Checking in.
Here.
I’m here.
I would like to say that “I don’t get it”. I thought this was a conservative website.
After being here constantly for a year and a half I do get it. There are plenty of RNC/GOP cheerleaders who have no idea what limited government is about.
As a Reagan/Goldwater conservative, count me in.
I’m in.
Jim didn't define conservatism in that post, he made a statement of principle. The devil is always in the details and it is in the details where conservatives disagree with each other.
For example, there are LEGITIMATE schools of thought concerning the concept of limited government and Homeland Security. A true conservative could argue either for or against without any danger whatsoever of wading into liberal waters.
The problem arises when some idiot decides that everyone who agrees with his particular take on the issue is a conservative and everyone who disagrees is a liberal.
Which of course is the problem with this whole thread. Who gets to decide? I sure as hell wouldn't trust you to decide, and in fairness I know you wouldn't trust me to make the decision either, so it's a waste of bandwidth.
McCain as the Party’s POTUS canditate? What the hell happened?
