Oprah BOUGHT Dr. Phil when he helped her LIE to those cattle ranchers.

(I wonder if Obama needs a Dr. Phil moment in the wake of the oprah endorsement)

Britney doesn’t just need rehab. She needs it to be public to make a splash and revitalize her career, and maybe convince the public and the judge that she’s fit to be a mother.

It’s a deal between two business people to make them both more money.

I don’t believe there is any violation of any code of ethics. Dr. Phil was not and is not Britney’s physician. What I find maddening is the hospital’s decision to release Ms. Spears. There is no way in heck a thorough evaluation could have been done in that short amount of time.

It is wrong, wrong, wrong to put Britney on public display when she is obviously insane. In fact, she should not be allowed to drive a car.

Her career is fine, Jive Records is stage-managing the marketing for her Blackout album like a charm, considering they have a completely uncooperative star who is incapable of doing even basic PR for the disc.

Hell, I think she probably spent 2 or 3 hours recording the vocals for the disc. With autotune technology, all they need her to do is speak the lyric out loud into a mic once and they can tweak it into sounding like whatever they want it to sound like.

She’s friggin’ crazy, truly crazy, either bipolar or schizophrenic, with the multiple drug addictions that these people develop when they try to self-medicate. That our media has no problem putting the meltdown of a mentally ill drug addict on 24/7 coverage ... it’s sick.

... and we lap it up.

Even if she did sign a release, there may be a case to say she wasn’t in her right mind at the time she signed it (ie he took advantage of her when she was mentally unstable).

Dr. Phil, have the ratings gone into the toilet that badly? How’s that been working for you?

I remember that in the day, the best seat in the house was the bicycle banana seat Britney just got off of.

In Britney’s case now, seems the blood ain’t getting to
the brain.........but that is fixable too

A local DJ does a good Dr. Phil impersonation and did a very funny bit on a Spears/Phil session.

Britney needs to literally start her life over. Go somewhere, assume a new identity, and exorcise all this evil she’s surrounded herself with.

To use computer lexicon, she needs to reformat the drive and reinstall the operating system without the help of her “loving” family.

Y’know, I think Brit’s mom isn’t a very good one, but it seems that Brit’s problems really started to avalanche once she was on her own (over 18. legally adult). She never learned to be a responsible adult - and that is partly her fault, and partly her parents’ faults. The difference is that while mom and (not with her much dad) is that even though they weren’t that good, despite not being able to teach her important things, they love her as their kid. Anyone else trying to give her advice today is there because they are hired.

“autotune technology”

I played a harmonica track on an artist’s album during a studio session a while back. The harp had a bum reed that was out of tune at one high bend note.

The engineer autotuned it like it never happened.

Have Dr. Phil and Geraldo ever been in the same room together? I imagine the resulting ethical black hole would warp the space-time continuum.

everyone just calm down. We do NOT know the real story behind Dr. Phil visiting Brit in the hospital last week. It’s all media hype — orchestrated by her family. Dr. Phil has too much to lose to do something as stupid as is being reported by the media and from the “family spokesperson”.

Dysfunctional families are just that — dysfunctional and screwed up — and we may never know exactly what they said or didn’t say to Dr. Phil, that precipitated his arrival at that hospital. They would do anything for attention, including blaming Dr. Phil for something THEY set in motion.

This girl is screwed up royally, and she is going to end up DEAD in some sad accidental SOMETHING if someone doesn’t intervene quick in her life. Thank God the courts took her children away from her. At least they’re being protected somewhat from her hysteria. Bipolar or not (which I think is definitely possible — i have a sister who is, and who acts exactly like Brit), she needs serious help and compassion, not more negative attention.

It’s just sad...the whole thing.

She's not doing a very good job with her knocked-up minor (Jamie Lynn) either.

I can’t believe anyone takes Dr Phil seriously, nor that they care about the number one bet in my personal ‘dead pool’ trailer trash nutcase Spears.
