I’m a dream nurse...I “want” to come in for four hour shifts to fill in till another nurse comes on...I’ll do it every day if they need me.

Good for you for standing up for yourself! Isn't it so liberating to have some control over your own efforts?

There is much that I like about this job...

They have the four hour shifts I spoke of. They get a last minute fill-in nurse and I get a quick $100.

It’s close by...takes me eight minutes to get there.

They offer 3-11 shifts. Agency pays more but I have to work 12 hour night shifts.

I can schedule in advance. With agency, it’s usually hit or miss last minute assignments. With the hospital, although I might be cancelled at the last minute, it’s unlikely.

So it’s a win/win situation for both of us but they need to mind their manners. You can’t run a hospital without nurses.
