Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
The episode where Desmond called Penny was Christmas 2004, and the flashforwards in this episode took place in October 2005, if I remember correctly.
And Ben did have a creepy little smirk after Sayid agreed to work for him, but I’m not sure if Ben killed her, or just used her death for is own ends.
I’ll have to admit the same...I’ve NEVER had surplus Russian ammo that didn’t go “*BANG*”. :-)
Yeah, I think you’re right with the dates. I couldn’t remember the 2005 month.
They’re just playing mind games with us.
Personally I think Ben killed her in order to get Sayid where he wanted him. I don’t trust Ben even as far as I could throw him.
I also couldn’t remember...did we actually see the doctor get killed? Or has that not yet happened in the timeline on the boat?
Well...yeah...that’s a given. ;-)
The people who are playing mind games with us invented Ben. I don’t like them in my head. ;~)
Funny, that's what got me started on this .308 kick. I bought a crate of 1979 Portuguese 7.62 NATO about 10-15 years ago. Probably paid about $100 for it. I slid it underneath my work bench "temporarily".
Recently, I was doing some archaeological "excavation", looking for a part that rolled under the bench. Pulled out a lot of crap that I had also "temporarily" stored there. In the very back was this wood crate with canvas carry straps.
It weighed a ton, but I pulled it out, and, lo and behold, 1000 rounds of .308!.
I think you're right. Ben is such a great character. Maybe hopefully someday I'll write a story that deserves to have a Ben menacing about.
Yeah. What you said.
I don’t think I’d want to write from Ben’s point of view, though. Talk about mind games... I had a hard enough time with creepy loser stalker dude.
Wow...It’s good finding stuff like that stashed away....sort of like Christmas! :-)
Yeah, rainy and cold doesn’t help it, either! Looks like a ‘work inside the house’ week. I’m sorting through clothes this week, preparing to put my old winter clothes in bags for St. Anne’s Thrift Store. I won’t need the heavy ones in MS, and besides, by next winter, they’ll be too big for me anyway! ;o)
There ya go. That’s the attitude!
Ugh, I left without my coffee this morning. :-\
I remembered my coffee...but my breakfast blew up in the microwave.
I hate Mondays.
Mondays should be illegal.
Ecurbh no function coffee well without.
Well, it’s Washington, you shouldn’t be able to throw a rock without hitting an espresso stand. Is there one you can get to?
Should I bring you emergency coffee?
No, you don’t need to bring me any. I think I can track down some coffee. :)
