Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
And...timing wise the crash was in 2004, right? So Nadia is killed in 2005 after Sawyer and presumably the other five got off the island. Right?
I did think that we were getting the explanation of why Kate left the island with the baby. Tricksey that was.
The crunchy ones are too dry and crumbly for me.
It's fine, in small doses.
We watched that this weekend. We enjoyed it - and then had zombie issues that night! Heh... but it was better than your standard horror/thriller. But I’m a sucker for last-man-on-earth kinds of setups.
One of the guys at work said it was really, really intense and kinda scary. He said usually movies don’t get to him, but he saw it on the big screen and almost found it too much. I dunno enough about the plot to really know why!
Still want to see it one of these days. I’ve got Netflix on hold for the moment, so maybe later in the summer.
It was very intense, and emotional, at the same time. I imagine it would have been much more affecting on the big screen. Will Smith did an incredible job, being the only speaking character for 2/3rds of the movie. It was humorous at times, poignant at times, and downright scary at others.
You know, Anna Nicole Smith’s little girl has to wear one of those patches...
Maybe you could tell Luke that people who have this condition frequently are genetically pre-dispositioned to be rich and famous.
:)
/catching up.
Blood pressure update.
As you know I was trying to lower the dosage of one of my meds and got it down pretty low...cut it by 3/4ths. Caused bad results however...BP climbed back up to where now I’m back at the full dose I was on plus the nephrologist upped my patch from TSS-1 to TSS-2 (It’s a larger patch...they go up to TSS-3). Plus they put me on another medication...Procardia XL 60mg.
I changed primary care doctors and that goes into effect on May 1. I have an appointment with the new guy on May 6th. (This is a guy I’ve known for years...worked with him back before I went into semi-retirement. He’s Steve’s doctor).
BP 45 minutes ago was 158/104.
I’m not really sure Anna Nicole Smith’s lifestyle is really one I want to advocate...
Well, this is true.
Still, I’m optimistic for the little girl...
Hey...wanna hear about my work?
I am really enjoying it. It’s a great job, now that I’m back into the swing of things. Probably the best job I’ve ever had in my life. I like nearly everyone.
Except one lady. Man that lady gets on my nerves...she just harrasses everyone, constantly. So last Wednesday (before last) she came in and gave me such a hard time that by the time I got home I’d had it and determined she wasn’t going to get away with it any more.
So this past Wednesday was no different, and I responded appropriately and when I got home, I told Matthew “That lady just chews me up and spits me out!” I asked Matthew “Do you want to know what I did?” He replied “I guess you’re going to tell me why she spits you out.” Heh heh...anyway, I just slap ignored her like she wasn’t in the room. She was just a-griping at me and I would talk to other people right over the top of it. One nurse actually started to chuckle.
So she was pretty mad, I think, by the time I left and I told Matthew “Well, she might report me but I doubt they’ll fire me.” He said “You probably won’t get a Power Rangers sticker.” (I have no idea where that came from, but that’s ok.)
One of the other nurses is so funny and nice to work with...she commented in the nurse’s station that she admired my pen (it’s a bright florescent orange) and I told her “Well, I’ll tell you what. My blood pressure is 140/104 right now and if I drop and have a stroke, you grab the pen and you can have it.” Her mouth just dropped open and she looked stunned! For a few seconds there was not a sound in the nurse’s station then EVERYONE just died laughing. She said “Everyone hear that?? If she hits the floor, I get the pen!”
Hehe! Good to see you’re keeping your sense of humor!
Heh...a slightly new meaning for FMCDH...
I'm getting ready for work. I work tomorrow evening too...a full eight hour shift. My first full shift since coming back to work after I was in the hospital and all back in February. I've just been doing four hour shifts.
We'll see how it goes. I'm a bit nervous since I'm starting new meds and I don't know how they'll effect me.
Here...I'll get Matthew to take a picture of me in my uniform!
