Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Yeah - but I don't know how to fix a faucet ;~)
Oh you mean actual hair
Well... We got it shut off better. And she's coming over... I think the girl needs a drink.
Well, whatever your other faults... you’re good ~lookin~ guys :~)
*snort*
she does need a strong drink...
Thanks, glad to be back.
Well... If that ain’t a shifty pair to draw to.
Heh... Had a sudden image pop into my head of you two guys standin’ on some street corner... And some street tough comes up and demands yer wallets...
...And g’nad and osage just look at each other and grin. :-)
It was a most excellent Moot. My thanks to Mrsnad for great food she packed, the deer meat pie and the meat loaf were mmmmm good.
Regarding dinner this evening, GMTA. LSA made a pizza for us. Gypsy is back on her bed and Annie is on the couch, all’s well in theshire.
Evening Ramius. Who? Us?
Sig & Para - Don’t leave home without ‘em. ‘specially when they include a 4 somewhere in the nomenclature.
Pipe wrench - check
Duct tape - check
Bourbon - check
All three handy to have when plumbing ‘issues’ are involved. Good Luck on the leak.
Roger that. :-)
I’ve really been enjoying getting accustomed to having my new carryable around.
One thing I haven’t settled yet is what to do at the office. Out of sight is out of mind... But I’m thinking about a hidden lockbox for those times when I have to leave my office unoccupied.
We got the stools. They’re lightly finished so I’m taking that off, then painting. I’ll take pictures when I get the chance. I’m going with the dark red and black, to be a real contrast in that room. We need something bright and interesting down there.
...And gnad and osage just look at each other and grin. :-)
... And say to one another, "Entertainment! Excellent!
They look adorable. G'nad, I especially like your bob-tail mohawk ... it gives you the look of a really tough substitute teacher.
Hmmm ... another character?
Don’t delay in getting it taken care of. A year ago, when I went into the hospital in December, I had a hot water leak. Got it fixed around Christmas. When i came home my water bill wasb $50 above normal, and my electric bill was $300 above normal.
Oh, well... I just need to keep repeating to myself, "overtime, overtime, overtime..."
Excellent picture. The Hobbit Hole surely has more than it’s fair share of handsome fellows.
I mean it though...you look good, g’nad. Healthy. God is good.
I just got in from work. Had a really great shift. The second one in a row. So good that I volunteered to work tomorrow evening.
(The fact that I get paid $34.50 an hour on weekends motivates me a lot.)
Seriously, though...I had two of my four patients tell me I was a great nurse. They really have no idea how much it meant to me...
Oh, Rose, I WILL keep you in my prayers, and I’ll also put you on our Parish Prayer list! I’ll put Bear on there, too. ;o) Having just been through a medical adventure of my own, I can relate!
As Hair said, just look away, and I'd also suggest that you focus on something else in the room and do some slow deep breaths until they're done.
That’s great news about your Mom, Talon! I’ll put her back on the Prayer List for full healing, and soon!
Ah, then propane is the way to go. We may have to do that down South. Depends on if we build or remodel where there is no natural gas.
Been thinkin’ about you...wondering how it was going.
If you’re like me, you’ll be too tuckered out and frazzled from thenewjob to post much here but after you settle in and get comfortable, you’ll be back more often.
I'm preparing a Thank You card to send to St. Vincent's. As they came on shift, I wrote down the names of all the nurses and PCAs who did shifts while I was there. They were just all so nice, and I'm going to thank them by name in the card. I think they need to know that I appreciate the care they showed me, and I want their co-workers to know it, too. I'm also going to send a letter to the hospital director, naming each one of them, and complimenting them on their professionalism, and just all around niceness!
