The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Going to bed early, too.

I guess everyone tired themselves out earlier.

We watched Michael Clayton tonight. George Clooney may be a true doofus when it come to politics, but when he's got a good part to work with, he can do his job well. Tom Wilkinson and Tilda Swinton were also both great in their parts. It was a good story, and we enjoyed the movie a lot.

Huh...I haven’t watched the episode yet, but I know one of the Jeopardy players from last night...kind of. I’ve met him once or twice. He’s a minister from my home town, does a lot of organizing work with various music related things in town, like the First Night doings.
Heh...maybe I should be waiting until I see how he played before I own up to knowing his name... Interesting, though.

But I don’t wanna...
Urgh...better than tomorrow morning will be, though. They’re doing power stuff in the building from 4-6 am, and someone needs to be around to make sure things are OK with the servers and such while that’s happening. We’re probably going to split duties so one of us is there when the guys arrive at four and another is there at six to make sure things come back up as they should when they should. Either way, another vey early morning.

Ow, no fun.
All I have to do before the weekend is finish some homework, clean the house, and prepare for between 15 and 30 people to invade Saturday night for a cookout. Guess I’d better buy hamburgers.

So a while back I read something about rabbits having two kinds of droppings, one that they do at night in their holes and then re-eat as a sort of external form of chewing their cud. Do you know anything about that? What do they do if they droppings fall through the cage and they can't do that? Does their pellet food have extra nutrition to make up for the missing cycle of digestion?

Because of Thursday. And because of this coming Tuesday. I've just been told that
I have to cover a meeting on Climate Change.
I figure if I start now, I should be drunk enough by Tuesday.
