as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
The nephrologist called. He put me on a small dose of HCTZ. Hydrochlorothiazide. A diuretic. He suspects that the spike in blood pressure is related to hormonal fluctuations which are causing me to retain fluid. Makes sense, because my feet and hands are puffy. Not all the time, but frequently.
We’ll see. He said it might lower my bp enough to get me off the metoprolol. I hate the metoprolol.

I go for an EchoCardiogram a week from Friday, and am hoping my heart is back up to full function so I can get off all these meds. They just make me tired!
Just a quick note. I’m heading to the nursing home to visit my aunt. The hospice people said she won’t last the week. She’s gone downhill quickly in the last couple of days.
Will pray for her and you and the rest of your family. Take care of yourself.

Friday morning would be great, before we head back. We’d need to get directions. The bother has liberty tomorrow until 8 and we’ll want to make the most of it (my dad can’t make it after all so we’re representing the family) but Friday’s clear if you are.
