Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
How’s it going Rose?
Heh...yeah, that’s me, pretty much.
I are sore today. The stairs were killing me. The sad thing is...I think most of the soreness is from the leaning over and squatting I did while I was bathing Cisco, not from the run/walk.
Hm...dunno if I’ve seen it much around here. Guess I’ll just have to check next time I’m near Jo-Ann’s or Michaels, won’t I?
Oh, torture and torment!
Hey there, Rose! How are you?
Other than that ... oh boy, the place is exhausting. Every ten-minute task takes two hours to accomplish.
And how are you? Have your allergies settled down?
Howdy, girl!
My GirlFriends are revving up to a Hate Heston hissy ... I can't go there.
How's the newlittlecar treating you?
I <3 thenewlittlecar... It’s pretty, it feels soooo smooth to drive, it’s easy and fun to park, it makes an excellent jukebox-on-wheels, and it’s cute and did I mention pretty?
Just put gas in it for the second time, incidentally. First fill-up, I got about 31.5 mpg in mixed driving, which for a car with a lot more pep than the old Corolla and all kinds of power doo-hickeys isn’t bad, I don’t think.
Today’s fill-up averaged 33.5. Whether it’s the breaking-in process or just that I’m more used to driving it, I dunno, but that’s nice. Not as good as some of the sub-compacts I was looking at would probably get...but it doesn’t drive like a sub-compact.
OK, I’ll stop babbling now. But I could go on if prompted. Just warning.
Oh when the saints...
Greetings all. Here in the Crescent City. Spent the day hanging drywall.
The destruction and devastation here is amazing even after 2 1/2 years. But even with all we’ve heard it’s still such a complicated story.
Lot’s to think about more when I get back.
LOLz LOLz LOLz LOLz
Well, my headaches are largely limited to when we go to great big groups of people places. So basically, Masses. (There’s this cute little church we also go to that’s Presbyterian and either those ladies don’t use perfume or the threshold is lower so I don’t get the headaches there). Sometimes the detergent aisle or something will set me off but I’m mostly living with it. Ugh. Basically the doctors think it’s not so much that I’m allergic as that the smells are a trigger and the actual cause of the headaches is something else. Oh well.
Hmm. Not sure whether or not I like the comments page update... but I think I do...
If smells are a trigger, don’t sit next to any DUmmies. :\
oh... I got me one of these...
Shuttle tranny... mmmmmmmm... loader...
and it don't start if'n its in gear...
1.5 inches in the rain gauge before I left this morning.
At least I got the collard crop planted before the rain started.
It’s actually fragrances - chemicals added to products to create “pleasant” smells - and not smells that I’m sensitive to. So perfume, scents in laundry detergent, scented candles, that sort of thing.
Now that is a schweet item, g’nad!
I don’t know how much rain we got here but it had to be a lot...also got ping pong ball sized hail...sounded like the house was being wholloped with sticks!
I can only imagine. Hope you're able to do a write-up of some sort when you get back!
Stay safe, work hard, check in when you can! ;-)
I appreciate enhancements...but I hate change. What’s with the green? And I miss the way the information line was structured...so it was easy to actually locate the post number and click.
