Aye - true enough, though I recall Holman being pretty handy with an ax as well as his ‘03 and his BAR.

Deadly combination - cold steel and hot lead.

Today I get to go see a trainee doctor about my Eli Stone (a little joke there...). Couldn’t get in to see *my* doctor for several weeks. Good thing I’m not ill or anything - lol. Regardless, I’m hoping Dr. Trainee is less of an idiot than the RegularDoc. I’m so fed up with that entire practice (they’re all idjits, really) and the insurance system that I’m willing to pay hundreds of dollars cash out of pocket to go see a doctor who knows my name, is able to see me the same day I call, can spend more than 8.25 minutes with me, can provide more information than I can get from WebMD and online journals, and talk to me like the accomplished professional that I am. Grrrr - I could rant for days.

We could hope you're just hallucinating, but having had an Oliver Stone of my own...I know better...

I was so happy when I found a nice ob/gyn who was actually willing to listen to me about my problems. I had started to think that the specialty required being unable to actually listen.

EXCELLENT new car there Rosie!!

Hey, I gotta new sewer!! We connected to the city yesterday before lunch! No more septic woes!

Steve dug the entire trench by hand...from 2 feet deep at the house to about 7 feet deep to the main sewer line. More than 100 feet long.

Got bless him, it saved us $2000. The permit to hook on to the city cost us $600 and the plumber cost us $1200

I have almost successfully weaned myself off my morning coffee...I’m down to three ounces.

Alas, I have discovered the Starbucks Decaf Iced Caffè Mocha.

Mmmm...mocha...

Ungh...speaking of caffeine and such, I slept completely through my alarm today, and then some. It was on, but I don’t remember hearing it at all.

And I was supposed to go in early to reboot servers before hours.

I’m gonna get in trouble. :-\

He could’ve done the whole thing. He really could’ve. It took them just a few minutes to piece the pipes together and glue it to the main.

Our elderly neighbors were really anxious about the whole thing. The main was in their yard. I took the plumber over and he talked to them and re-assured them last week. Then, when Steve dug the hole down to the main, he laid a tarp down on their grass and put the dirt on it so that the only disturbed area was right where he had to dig. That hole was maybe four feet wide, by six feet long by seven feet deep.

After the pipe was glued to the main, a guy came by and inspected it. He said it was fine and we could then fill it back in. So Steve and I and both the boys grabbed shovels and started shoveling that dirt back in as fast as we could, sprinkling it with water as we went along to pack it down.

They’re good neighbors and we tried real hard to be as nice as we could and make as little impact as we could.

I tell you what...that caffe mocha was good. It was so good I wrote the company and told ‘em so.

It was a new Starbucks, in the Food Pyramid (which used to be Albertsons)...it was their first day open even.

I couldn’t sleep at all last night. Joshua came and laid down with me eventually and I finally went to sleep.

He also took a sledge hammer and bashed in the top of the septic. He had to according to the code. We have to fill it in with sand. So I made a bunch of phone calls and got the best deal on sand...got a whole dumptruck load for $85.

I can hardly get Joshua off of it. He has spent literally hours playing on the pile of sand!

I may get another pile after this one is shoveled into the tank just for him to play on! We can use it around the yard for various holes and low spots...

Dang! Why didn't he just rent a Ditch Witch?
