The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

A .50, heck even a .40 or .38, would be too big for someone like me.

Good to know you made it safely!! I was talking to my Dad, he came down with the 24-hour stuff, too, but he’s fine now. Get yourself some apple cider vingear (Heinz, or Bragg’s not the Wal-mart brand) Say “hi” to everyone for me!!

The genius of Barrett is the recoil reduction. You could handle a .50.

Just as long as it could fit in my small hands.

Get the right .38 and I guarantee it won’t be too big - ours is lovely and not too big at all. My XD40 is pretty small too, even for someone with tiny hands like me.

Christmas Eve is a specialty herbal tea that Stash makes containing cinnamon, orange peel, spearmint, vanilla extract, orange oil and natural flavors of cinnamon and cloves. White Christmas is another specialty Chrismas tea that contained white tea, peppermint and ginger root. They are only sold during the Christmas holidays, I think.

Both very yummy for tea-lovers!

Who was the guy from a few years back who used tobacco as a primary ingredient in all sort of potions for gardens?
I think you're thinking of Jerry Baker. He used all kinds of weird combinations of ingredients for fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides.

Well, I obviously don’t have anything wrong with my thryroid, cause they did tests on that when I was in the hospital; in fact I asked specifically about that. SirKit’s sister had told me that a friend of hers had gone to the hospital with shortness of breath and heart palpitations, and it turned out to be what they described as a ‘thyroid storm’. They removed her thyroid, and she’s taking some drug every day, from now on. I don’t mind black teas, but I like the antioxidant properties of the greens.

They showed the teas still on the Stash website. I had actually found the Christmas Eve at a local store, and thought I’d give it a try. The White Christmas sounds vey tasty!

How does OB use the ACV? I tried some once, with some honey, and it took a while to get that smell out of my nose. ;o)

My cousins' Hungarian grandmother used to drink ACV with honey every day, for her arthritis.

We just use two teaspoons of ACV in a glass of water, once or twice daily. We don’t use honey, though alot of people do. I didn’t know it was suppose to do anything for arthritis; we use it as a cold/flu preventative.

The ACV supposedly helps maintain the acidity/alkalinity of the body to prevent germs from gaining the upper hand. Don’t know if that is the correct explanation, but we doen’t get sick when we keep up on our ACV.
