The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

It boggles the mind. Its hard to believe that Canadians could so easily roll over and accept such a star-chamber system.

Jonah Goldberg is right. Scratch a liberal and you find a fascist.

Speaking of breaking...the light behind the store is out again.

Also speaking of broken...I just got insider info on yet another roundabout going in in the fairly near vicinity. *sigh*

The dilemma of a target-rich environment. One cat, too many flying rats.

I’m so glad!

Steve and I are attending a finances class in the evening at our church. I was pretty tired after the events of the day but I’m glad we went. One of the things we were supposed to do tonight was write down a “bite-size goal” and we wrote down “build a hen house.”

Actually, NSDAP, "National Socialist German Workers Party". "nazi" is their own nickname for themselves.

The nazis and the commies spent most of the 1920s trying to excommunicate each other from the Socialist International over whose socialism was most pure. But when it came to racial policy, the nazis freely admitted they got their ideas from the American racists/eugenicists of the 20s and 30s. The direct descendants of those groups exist to this day, receiving our tax dollars as respectable "family planning" and "population" groups.

Oh...I got paid today. Paid off another big bill. I’m cutting in to these bills like bloody murder!
