Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
This is true. ;-)
Cute or not, he put the thread to sleep...
I think everyone covered up with their warm blankets.
We just finished Season 3, Disc 2. We’re really enjoying the series! The writing is well done, and the storylines are very interesting!
B5 was probably the best Sci-Fi series ever. Bruce Boxleitner was such a cutie, too.
We started Season 3 of Lost on Monday. We’ll finish in time, but we’ll be cutting it close!
I'll agree with that!
Good luck to Rose today!!! We’ll be thinking of, and praying for, you both. OB & LSA
The plane that crashed on the island in Lost was "Oceanic Flight 815," from Sydney to LA.
The plane that was hijacked in the movie Executive Decision (one of my favorites) was "Oceanic Flight 343," from Athens to Washington DC.
Apparently, they filmed a lot of 747 footage for Executive Decision, and the footage --- along with the fictional "Oceanic Airlines" --- has become a staple in Hollywood. Alias, Pushing Daisies, and Chuck have featured references to Oceanic Airlines.
Off to get myself cut on.
Praying for ya Rose! Take care of yourself!
Hugs and prayers to you today.
Check in when you can!
I took the boys to Wild Oats to get some granola yesterday. (It’s like Whole Foods Market, you know...even owned by them, I think.) Anyway...the boys call the place “HippyMart”.
I bought three dollars worth of granola and the guy that checked us out loudly proclaimed “DING DING DING! You win the prize for having spent the least amount in this store today!!!” He went on loudly proclaiming to everyone that NO ONE spends less than $100 in the store! He said I must have amazing restraint.
Which is true...I really coulda bought everything in the store. I love HippyMart...but their prices are generally out of my reach. Except the granola, which I have compared to granola at Walmart and found comparable.
And so much better.
Via con Dios...
Teaching them to sow?
AAACKK!!! Illegals!!! Close the border!!!
ooops....sorry, wrong thread...nevermind...
Heh heh!
I sure hope it’s the only wild oats they sow.
Heh...last weekend I joined the local food co-op. Five bucks, and now I have access to inexpensive nuts and bulk flour and other grains, plus loose-leaf tea and all. And lots of dark chocolate...mmmm...chocolate... Granola, too, for that matter.
But I think I’m the only conservative member. ;-) And I *was* about the only one there who wasn’t doing all their grocery shopping there. I just got tea and bran (for those muffins) and nothing else. Couple bucks worth of goods.
I believe I neglected to mention we’re on our way to Kentucky for the weekend. Leaving Fangorn in about 20 minutes. My last meeting with the alumni board.
I’ll be checking in from theroad.
