The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

They’re all size-2 twenty-sumptins’... so I served them big pieces of cake. :)

*snort* Did the cake look like this?

One of my cousins sent a e-mail story about folks ordering a cake from Wal Mart for a co-worker's going away party. They told the bakery clerk over the phone to put on the cake "Best Wishes Suzanne, and underneath that, We will miss you." I guess the clerk took them literally. ;o)

Personally, I'd like to see some action in the streets, like the 1968 convention. Stalinists vs moonbats. I'd even skip the popcorn, and go straight to chips and dips.

It would be entertaining.

See, I think that at least one of the conventions will be broken, not brokered.

I've been thinking a very similar thing. Everything is happening too early. The dems in particular are in danger of becoming pretty well committed to a nominee *way* too early. Too much time for a dean-scream moment, or some dark secret to blow up, or any number of gaffs... or... in an ideal world... the dems sit back and look at their candidate and suddenly it occurs to them: "Wait... what the #$@& were we THINKING??"

Truth is: There is still *plenty* of time for another white-knight sort of candidate to jump into the ring and start scooping up all the marbles. Not Gore, and not Kerry. Somebody new. A governor maybe. Somebody with some charisma. An actor? Not sure... but I'm about 75% sure it's gonna happen.

See... so far only party hacks and the political junkies have really paid any attention. But think about later when Joe Union Steelworker and Jane Teamster start paying attention. You think either of them is going to look at either Hillary or Obama and feel anything other than revulsion? No way they're going to find any deep resonance across the mainstream of the party. I just don't see it.

It's gonna be somebody else. Or: Dem turnout will be record-setting low.

IMHO.

Nope, it weren’t. The Mizzou contingent was all for Tech. We really wanted Tech to win and ku to lose. But, twas not to be. Close though and that does count.

I think there will be a point of "Wait... what the #$@& were we THINKING??"... but I think the left will get behind their nominee out of sheer hate...

hate don't win elections...

If Obama is winning, and a 'white knight' is brought in to defeat him, the Dems will no longer have their 95% margin in the black vote, and will never be in contention for the presidency again.

Hillary! won't allow a white knight *near* her prize ... the most dangerous spot in the universe is between Hillary! and something she wants. Obama is about to find that out.

I think Edwards is hoping to acomplish something in the white-knight line, but he's dreaming. You'll notice Richardson --- a Clinton creature --- is still hanging in there, as if New Mexico doesn't need its Governor.

Hmmm ... Bill Richardson, successful Governor with just a few bimbo eruptions on his political complexion (gives him Clintonian character!), walks into a broken Democrat convention with Hillary!'s delegates and superdelegates. He is Hispanic with an English surname, he has served as state Governor, US Ambassador to the UN, and US Secretary of Energy. He is more experienced than the top three or four Democrat candidates put together. He has enough gravitas to look good at a debate. And, yet, he is complely owned by the Clintons.

I think I'll call this the Richardson Trojan Horse Gambit ...

If she does that heinous fake "w***a" accent again, she's done for.

I think it's interesting that there are no black advisers on the stage with her ... just The Abomination, Maddy Half-Bright, and Perfumed Prince Wesley. Yet, February will find her in a black church somewhere, talking about Dr. King, playing gracious plantation lady.

It gives me a full-body cringe ...!

Did they offshore their bakery to India, too?

The Clinton Crime Cartel is a nascent police state. They stole about four states for Gore in 2000, but had to try and steal the Florida election in the full view of the public. Their ultimate goal is do away with the need for voting, and rule through their judges and smart lawyers.

If they want to bring out the brass knuckles, and testicle lock boxes, they can put on a show trial/convention that would make Stalin proud.
