Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Yah, no doubt. :-)
Wow... nice place.
Been there! Tiz vurra nice.
I fergit...when was your appointment to get the allergy symptom diagnosis started? Just wondering how you’ve been...
Heh...I’ve told this story before, but...
When I was in my early teens or so, we had an Omni - regular variety, though...a hatchback. Stick shift. Mom *loved* that car, for no reason I could completely fathom. Loved it. It had various problems and I don’t think was truly that great of a car, but she was still really sad when it finally just plum wore out.
Years later, when I was out of the military and looking for my first car, we stopped at a (closed) used car lot just to scope out the models a bit before coming back for real. There was an Omni - kinda beat up and rather inexpensive - and she was fawning over it while I looked at other cars. She was really trying to convince me I *had* to test drive it...and then her skirt caught on the bumper and the bumper *fell off*! Way to convince me, Mom! We just stood there stuned for a moment and then very quietly and quickly put it back on and went on our way...
And of course laughed our heads off afterwards. ;-) It was priceless.
Ramius; I don’t know anyone who has been to either one of those however I do know a couple of fellas that have been Wittington. One long range shooter and one hunter. They both were very impressed with the facilities.
I’ve heard a lot about Gunsite and Frontsite both seem well received by the posters on the Sigforum. Of course - your mileage may vary. It would be a fun week, time well spent. In Nevada you’d have access to casinos, fwiw.
It's Hot Buttered Rum Day
Aw, man!
Hm...you know...I have everything but the allspice. I wonder...
But it does say it’s best to make the batter ahead of time. Durn.
That’s a good memory! I don’t think I’d heard it before!
I hope my boys have lots and lots of reasons to look back on their life with me and smile like that.
Well, I see now that:
The “Front Sight Firearms Training Institute” is a firearms training institute founded by Ignatius Piazza in 1996.
Gunsite was founded by Jeff Cooper as the “American Pistol Institute” (”A.P.I.”) in 1976.
Well, lookie there... now I think I know all I need to know.
Well, yesterday I went to see my primary care dude. He can’t diagnose the allergy but they’re working to see if anyone in the area will. In the meantime he’s sending me to a dermatologist and for an mri just in case my headaches are anything bad. That’s Sunday afternoon.
Thanks for asking!
Ugh, all those dr appts. Hope you feel better soon.
Well, hey, it’s a start! Hope it all works out for you.
Recipe copied! I’ll have to try it out in a few weeks. It will still be cold enough to thoroughly enjoy it! ;o)
I coulda used one tonight. I’m still feeling like carp. But I settled for hot tea instead.
Jr. and I watched “Spiderman 3.” I like it.
Good morning thread.... it’s Friday!
I enjoyed it, too. Joseph called it 'Emo Spiderman'. We're fixing to start on Season 3 of "Babylon 5". It's a good series; good writing and story lines. But we also have Ocean's Thirteen and Ratatouille to watch. We'll watch one of those tonight, since we don't have the new B5 disc yet. That will come in the mail tomorrow. I loves Netflix!
It’s Saturday fer me. Got me a four-day weekend.
Not fair. I don’t even get Monday. *snif*
